Why do so many people strive for coolness? Can someone explain this please?
What would a world be like without that concept?

    because they are young...

when you get older.. you won't care if you're cool or not. unless you're shallow.

Being cool is just being the best. People like to be the best because it makes them feel cool.

Do you think it is possible for an old person to be cool? I think that would be difficult and rare.

I always think of a cool person as someone who, when confronted with a chaotic situation has the ability to remain calm and assess what is going on. Being able to control yourself when most people are flipping out and panicking would make you a cool person.

I decide on wheather i like someone and i guess think they are 'cool' is by the way they act, carry themselves, talk and the energy i get from them.

i would say the opposite would be true; it's easier for an old person to be cool specifically because they typically aren't hung up on appearing cool.

eh being "cool" is overrated, who cares what others think. It is what you think of yourself that matters.
