I heard that in the 60's/70's there were young people who acted like hippies, but were really just posers, and that they were called teeny-boppers. I know there are poser hippies today. I think that I am just as much a hippy as the next guy. I am all about peace, love, world-positive attitude, etc... and I don't want to be labeled as a poser or a teeny bopper. I am young, and I know that I am still developing as a person, but I have established for the most part who I am, and I want to know that I am accepted in the community that I can identify with the most.
teeny bopper = a teen who follows the latest trends and fashion and pop culture. In the 40s and 50s an example was teens who followed Frank Sinatra and Elvis. Today, it's those who follow people like Britney Spears. That's one definition, anyway.
You sound like a good young hippy to me. Doc P.S. Not a teenybooper, that term was old back when I was a young hippy in the early 70's.
michael Jackson is a teeny booper. When is it bedtime in Neverland? When the big hand grabs the little hand. Actually teeny booper is a term used by those who think they're hip to describe preteens who think they're hip.
Teeny booper? I guess another definition of teeny bopper would be a young teen who's spunky and light-hearted. Bobby-soxer might be a better term for those who follow trends and fashion, although that term was used in the 50s.
I think teeny-boppers are those people (usually pre teen gals) that are obsessed with current celebritys, and fashion. They'll follow a certain musician or actor, knowing absolutely nothing about their point of views, or opinions on certain subjects. but be obsessed because the person is "hip". teeny-boppers are the reason Morrison went to france, and Cobain commited suicide.
