What I see in Hip Forums...

You know what I see when I'm on here? When I come to the hip forums? I see an eternal gravel parking lot, with everyone hanging out on, in, or around their cars, trucks, vans or whatever, for miles and miles. I see everyone walking around, enjoying life and people, and love. I see people shouting out to friend across the way, asking if they want to get high, not worrying if anyone hears them. I hear bands playing in the background, Led Zep, Hendrix, The who, Cream, queen, the greatful dead, Rush, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, all the old greats, and more...
I see everyone smiling, chilling, keeping with each other, whether they know you or not. I see a community of loving people, who aren't afraid of things they don't know, and so can keep peace and harmony amongst themselves.

This is what this place feels like to me, and it's just such a shame that it's only online

 

thats awesome man there should be some sort of hip forums gathering where we all do that that would be so bitchin

i would be so up for a gathering... i've heard people mention it every now and then.

it would only take organization and most likely money. i'm confidant that a lot of people from this forum would show. enough to make it a fest/gathering for sure.

it wouldn't really need any more promotion than posting a sticky or two.

It used to be in the days of BBS' that people would have GT's - get togethers in which they'd gather in a bar or something and meet in person.

I wonder where Leviathan and Deep Fish are now...

 

That would be too great...Where would it be? Someplace not too hot, not to cold....And we'd have to get local bands from everywhere! Give them all their big chance, yeah? How much fun it would be...

 

Or you could have one for each town/area.

NYC meet, Seattle meet, Chicago meet, etc.

 

yeah like the Rainbow Family then there can be one national one...
