I think it's when text has been quoted and the original writer made a spelling error and the people quoting kept it in. That's what I always assumed, anyway.

In seriousness, Cairo is probably still in her mental hospital. As a patient, not a nurse.

Everyone else just seemed to have to part ways at the same time The probable death of Jorg hit us hard.

Everyone left because lots of shit happened at once.

1. The place had been in decline for a couple of years thanks to a group forming and old members having to leave because of bloody real life.
2. Jorg died. We probably could have survived this.
3. lithium and I did indeed start bonking. We spent so much time bonking that we didn't really post for about 4 months. Everyone else appeared to be busy, too. (Probably bonking)
3. When we came back, the place had been taken over by weird people, like people from incest forums and old men pretending to be 13 year old girls who fuck their brothers.
4. So drama ensued and the few decent people who remained kind of got bored and we got bored and so we started to disperse into the realms of facebook and employment
5. UK Randomness was taken away. In fact the whole board was rearranged, and unnecessary bits kept and the good sections scrapped.
5. Now the place has become rather drab and it's difficult to build anything back up when even a smidgen of humour is tutted at.

The new format was good in principle, but yu can't cover up a change in members and attitudes by juggling shit around to make it look fuller. Plus "UK Photo Gallery", which no-one ever uses, was kept, while the most active section was scrapped. Logic? This place is now a big bin for "Is there anyone in Newcastle?" type posts.

this is a shame though, the off topic threads gone too. randomness was awesome. come on let's revive it!

by the way, i hate to ask but who was Jorg?

 

J0rg was a legend, our saviour, our little beggar boy turned prophet. He was often misunderstood, but rather like Jesus, he took this in his stride. After performing a series of miracles, J0rg was taken from us, possibly by an angered rodent or by an axe on the end of his arm. His legacy lives on and rather than the horrid truth, I like to say that he sailed into the sunset on his boat, the Lattice of Lewisham.

We definitely need Randomness back. I even miss Filthiness
