What got you interested in Hippies?

Title pretty much explains it...

What got you all interested in the hippie culture?

For me, it was probably the music, and then eventually the philopsphies, and then finally the clothes I "discovered" it from a local commune that my mom told me never to go near.

 

Mostly my dad.

He's still pretty much your typical 60 yr old hippy. ahha

My mom was into it back when she was young and told me stories about it. Also the music, ideas, and basic attitude and innocence surroudning it all. Not to mention the clothes and finally when I was growing up the town I was from has the dead heads and the Phans pass through every year or so. I thought they were pretty awesome.

also the fact that i got tired of all the other kids having hate for every group, except theirs. that pissed me off to the point where i tried to spread peace and love.
