What George Orwell said about writers.

    First of all I have done some professional writing but not for a few years. George Orwell said he thought that professional writers have an inflated opinion of themselves.
    Agree or disagree? I think I agree.

    Steven King sure does, as do most of his blindly loyal fans (watch this now,,,) :D

    But to be fair, Orwell said alot of things,,, no really, heres the proof!

    Oh I think not only do they, but they have to in order to get published, especially in today's world. If you want to write professionally, I would think you would really have to believe that you're something special.

    I believe so too, but I think it's possible to do it only for the money. If you look at it that way the charlatans publishing religious and spiritual crap like Eckhart Tolle and Dr Phil are the more humble writers.
