I am the only one of my friends who never wears shoes. I know of only one other person who goes my school barefoot. Most wear flip-flops and then there are the preppy people who wear $200 footwear. I wanted to take a poll to see what type of footwear people wear most often on a daily basis (to school, work, or when going out)?

I guess I forget boots as an option. My apologies to all you boot people out there.

PS, I just wanted to add a note here. For some reason I am unable to send PMs out, so for all of you fellow barefooters out there, if you have MySpace, please sign up for this cool MySpace group for barefoot hippies:

It's freezing out now, so sneakers/shoes otherwise my toes would fall off. In the summer, sneakers or sandals. Or bare feet. Actually I walk around in just socks quite a bit.

well they ain't very dressy but their brown and made out of the sking of dead cows.

mocks or bear when i don't leave the house further then the yard, which quite a few days i don't.

if i lived out in the woods i'd wear cow flop kickers to keep the rattlie snakes from being able to bite my ankles.

can't stand tennie runners. overpriced crap and the grass seeds always get stuck in em and irritate my feet. did wear deck shoes when i had em, and hush puppies back when.

penny loafers are cool too. sliponslipermocks till i wear em out. do have one good pair that might be dressie if/when i get new soles/heals put on em. only pair repairable like that. haven't done it yet.

    =^^=

I used to be 100% flip flops but I got tired of my feet stinking and not being able to run. I wear boots now and then when I'm hiking but they're clumsy and heavy. I tried going barefoot but I can't hack the cold just yet and most places wont let me inside. My last option was moccasins. They allow me to feel the ground I'm walking on like being barefoot, they're lightweight, and they don't deform my feet like regular shoes.

usually bare feet. this morning because temperatures keep below 10 C° and of a small stubborn wound on the heel I put on sandals (first footwear in weeks) but tossed'em away after < 5' .

I love shoes and wear various kinds of them regularly. I don't like for my feet to be dirty, so I really don't think I could do the barefoot thing.

I live Sweden so being barefoot is not really an option more then during the summer. But when I am in a warmer climate I prefer sandals. In general I like shoes I can run in, not that I run allot. I just like to be able to run if I want.

    I own and wear:

    1) official Dutch combat boots - sturdy, black, heavy and surprisingly comfortable, plus they make me feel like I can take on anything :D
    2) cheapest converse all-stars imitations available, totally ragged for that endearingly scruffy look
    3) beige suede cowboy boots - classy (they even have spur straps) but not as comfortable in the long run

Barefoot? Naw. I usually even wear multiple layers of socks.

Me to. I even sleep with socks on (my skull or my striped socks :p) coz I have a sensitive skin and a bad blood circulation, giving me cold feet. ;)
