What do you think about Dream Theater?

Dream Theater are my favourite band. They are perfection. Their albubs are better and better as the time passes by. They are all great, expecially the guitarist and the vocal. They are the best active group because they have emotions and quality at the same time.

 

They tried to tour with YES, but when i saw them open up for them they got booed off. But what do you expect when your opening up for the kings.

 

Are they from the 70's?

 

No, they are more modern, I think, thats what this kid told me before, but when i saw them they were like a Yes wannabe ripoff, but take out the psychedelic trance and insane jams, and replace it with heavy metal solos. And I might have detected a minor hint of some crappy techno.

you know what i noticed? Every time I say something about YES on this forum, it is one of the few topics that always incites massive flaming. And I mean every time. Thats got to say something about some people here.

 

Dream Theater isn't a Yes rip off, they're doing their own thing. I'm not into them by the way, one of the few prog metal things that I like is Ayreon.

Dreamtheater's drummer is one of the best around right now...I do have to say that. Although their music really isn't my bag, I can recognize talent when I see it.
