Some people say that acid is acid and no batch is any different than the next except for dosage. But i have had the chance over the last couple of years to trip several times from lots of different prints and something that i have noticed is that is that different sheets have a different feel to them. It might be the way some tabs will be more visual and some will be more of a head fuck. And some sheets give you a different kind of energy etc. So to the people who have been on the scene for a while, i am wondering how many of you feel the same way? That every different batch has its own character to it. Or do you think that acid is just acid and its never any different?
Idk I think it's just mind set, I believe in chemistry and acid is in fact just acid, but I mean say you take 3 hits from one type and 3 from another, the difference in potency will definitely make the trip different, but in your head you'll still think "well I took 3 like last time"
I'm talking about having say three or four trips from each different print though. I had maybe 6 trips from one of the better sheets ive had in the last few months and they all had a very similar feel even though the doses varied from 2 - 6 tabs. Another really good sheet i had recently i had a couple of trips from it and they had a very different feel and one of those trips i had 4 tabs and the other i had 1.5 and they both had the same feel but very different from the first sheet i mentioned. The latest one i had was some liquid which again had a different energy/feel to the other two. I've only had that once but i am trying it again tonight so i will see how that goes. Any way those are just from the last few months. Looking back on all the different sheets i've had over the last year or so i can definitely see differences. I suppose it may be tied in with the way some people believe that the person who gives it to you, their energy sort of rubs off on it which is why they, myself included, wont buy their acid from people who are pricks and just in it for the money not the love of acid and to spread the message.
variations from the same batch..maybe that's set/setting? Maybe our brains chemistry at that time? I know what you mean now...it's not a "cookie cutter" chemical. I do believe it can be used as a medium to help transfer good karma.
Before i had acid i used to think that if it had a picture of superman on it then you will think you are superman or if its a cartoon picture you will think your in a cartoon
Guys this is property of LSD. Because of it's mechanism of action, each individual trip is highly unique, which leads people to think that certain prints have certain feels, when really it's just that you can't really guess how you'll feel on any given trip. Also consider the placebo effect, which is caused by set/setting; if you dose 3 times from batch A in one month, and then 2 months later 3 times from batch B, well of COURSE batch A is gonna all feel similar, while batch B is gonna all feel similar. the input from YOU is highly consistent through time, and only a significant time difference (2 months) will change how you will feel a trip. thats what i think
But im talking about tripping every weekend, and sometimes more, since mid october last year. Having a few trips from each sheet, maybe 4 different ones. So im not talking about having a few months off in which you sort of forget what it is like to trip and then coming back to it.
Ah ok that's interesting, because 'feel' is so subjective then i have insufficient data to reach any conclussion from your post.
I think lsd from the same batch can have a different feel in the span of its shelflife, so I would imagine there is a different feel in completely different batches. Like wine, timing is important in the shelf life of the bottle and drinkability, even though alcohol is alcohol. :cheers2:
