What is the difference between a merlot, and a malbec? what is a pinot noir? why should I give a shit?
I don't know why you should give a shit. Wine is an acquired taste, which I have acquired, and love. White wine is sometimes too dry for me, I like a fruity white, and I LOVE a full bodied red. Actually, I am in love with 20 bees' pinot noir, which is an Ontarian wine. And yes, grapes used.
Yeah, I've never really been fussed on the difference. Red with dark meat, White with fish or chicken is all I bothered with
I don't know... but the whinning around here is over bearing. PS... Wine is gross for the most part, but it will get you drunk.
I'll buy a nice wine when I have the money, a cheap cask of goon when I feel like drinking and not thinking. Generally the more expensive they are, the nicer they are, but every now and then the opposite is applicable. I like all red wines, if they're particularly nice then I like the pleasant surprise. I am such a philistine
1) The grapes. Merlots are lighter (medium) bodied. Malbecs are full-bodied and very pungent. 2) Pinot noir is a red wine made from grapes of the same name. The wines are very aromatic (usually cheery-like) and flavorful. Body is usually light to medium. Unfortunately, I am not a HUGE wine expert. If it was about beer, you'd get an earful (or an eyeful, rather).
My mom's kind of weird. I can drink if everyone else is drinking, but if I just rolled up one night after work with a jug of wine she would not be too happy. Not that I can get a jug of wine where I currently live anyways. Too bad I moved and all my alcohol hook-ups are half a country away.
