What can I except?

Probably gonna drop acid for the first time this weekend.

I've done shrooms about six times so I have some experience with psychedelic drugs. But how does LSD differ from mushrooms? Can I expect anything different?

Depends how much LSD you are dropping but compared to shrooms:

It lasts longer
I find it more energetic

It will feel different for sure but pretty much any mental/visual effect which can be had on one can be had on the other.

If you can handle shrooms fine you'll probably be fine on acid. It's hard to describe the differences, acid is more energetic, more open eye visuals, less emotional usually, but intense wise they're quite similar I'd say.

 

acid is wayy more energetic and less "weighing down" on the body, and i feel like you're in way more control of your trip
