I have a nice silver headed, wooden handled hammer sittin' up front of my car.

...I use it to threaten people who piss me off while driving. Crazy female drivers unite!

Yeah, you don't really have to be concerned with quality so much when you're just going to smack a guy. It may break after breaking a few skulls, but after one or two you're really getting your point across.

Just make sure to give it the baseball swing trace.

I used to carry a nice mini sledge, but the head got too loose. I guess I used it too much.

The hammer I have now is actually pretty good, I got it from Canadian Tire though.

I actually googled it. A mastercraft eh? sounds cute, but I still don't know if I'd give it to my daughter on her wedding day.

all mine are inherited from my Grandfather and father....so whatever brand the mines and government used thats what I have

I do have a favorite though...a ten pounder from crappy tire that I use for bashing wheels to released seized brakes on cars I have to tow

No, I don't think it's mastercraft, it wasn't a brand name, just some cheapie wooden chap that was well balanced.

I just picked up a estwing the other day. Its nice and one of the best hammers I have owned. It also makes a nice ringing sound like a tuning fork when I drive nails into concrete. :)

I think there is absolutely no practical application for a wooden-handled hammer.

solid body drop forged all the way

    no particular brand

For a claw or rock hammer, an estwing unbreakable.

For blacksmithing, a cross peen, not estwing because you need to be able to choke up to the head for control.
