question: what is the ratio people naming off music that they think other readers will be impressed by to people naming off exactly what they're listening to?

In these threads which, for some reason, seem to crop up in most random forums I am always honest about what song or album I am listening to, but I have been known to throw in a red herring occasionally and just completely make up a band and a song out of my head, to see if anyone notices.

Here's a question. Why is that song always the big rock anthem that always gets played. I don't like this song, it sucked when it was released in 1989 or whenever, but the previous song he had out, of the previous album I dunno Freedom was way better, I LOVED that song, and the video was pretty cool Alice was prancing around dressed as a priest and he had like these two guitarists that were built like Geoff Capes and had hands the size of cow udders. That song never gets played on the radio or anywhere though.
