What are the guidelines for new members?

To cozy up to people who have been here longer?

I seem to have noticed 3 recent instances of new members who were immediately ganged up on with back and forth antagonism.

So what did they do to attract animosity that others didn't?

 

New members should respect veterans like myself. They should agree with everything I say and they are not allowed to have their own opinion yet. They have to deserve their opinion.

either someone clicks, or they don't. there's loads of places i don't fit it. never will. i'm not gonna get pissy about it.

usually, you just have to be sarcastic and EXPECT to be hazed a bit, put through your paces..though if you're a hot chick that's pretty much out the window.

 

I, for one, agree with everything bird says. Like, when he told me to put my picture down, I did it. No questions asked.

 

hope i havent ganged up on any i know the 1 who popped intoi the are u real thread i singled out just cause the timming masde it lil bizzarre but i thought i wasnt ganging up on him but trying to include him in a silly way..

i never try alienating newbies but there are those who ya know will be 1 post wonders theyre 1st and only post are so rediculouse u cant help but laugh..but ui usualy find buy the 4thj post most ppk are settled in and confy


i feel ganged up on more often as a gveteran then i see ppl beinj ganged up on as newbies but i guess some ppl just gang up on whoever they can

especialy in rt which has a very clique feel ya dont belong to the club then get the hell out kinda thing here sometimes\

well, it's true. i yield. we click as a group.

though most of the time i'm ganging up on someone, it's purely about taking them in. sometimes people get it, sometimes they don't. and i don't really lose sleep over it.

Yeah, but hotness and deference aside, I think there are some communication skills here that certain newbies lack.

when i first joined, no one ever ganged up on me persay, but everything i said was kinda shrugged off, and not really taken into consideration. Then i got lippy and some spunk, then people listened.

So, if you're an asshole, you're respected! that's the end of your lesson today grasshoppers.

 

i don't try to attack new members, but the people that come on here asking to be attacked usually don't end up lasting long so it just kind of works out that way

 

I am fairly new compared to most people here, but when I first joined I wasn't attacked or ganged up upon or any of that.

definitely. it's a shame. i give everyone shit. being defensive just makes you kinda embarassing.

 

if I don't get my rightful share of abuse sometime soon, I will feel left out of the cool club.
