what do you think should be protested and how. demonstrations? passing out leaflets? guerilla theater? or anything else you can think of, because i believe that talking about whats wrong on this message board is not going to do shit. lets get some direct action going
Youre right.. talking does absolutely nothing, but networking is a very useful tool. What do you want from this thread? Direct Action is about thinking about what YOU want to change, how YOU can do it, and going and doing it... not looking for protests to join. Also.. Direct action by its characteristics should not be discussed on an open forum. The ideas behind it maybe, but specifics and details certainly not.
im saying lets use this forum as a tool to get ideas for demonstrations, protests, etc. im saying come up with ideas here, maybe even organize members of this forum. ive heard that large scale protest is impossible now and i say thats bullshit. i guess i should have said lets get some ideas instead of lets get direct action. so whats the first protest? is there something thats already planned or something someone is trying to set up and about what?
Well ive already posted something about an upcoming anti-airport expansion event and had no replies... When the Climate march was posted about (8000+ were there) it got no replies. You would have thought this would be the ideal place to arrange stuff, but from what ive seen people are more concerned with looking like they care than actually doing something about it.

I hope it goes well... im in the UK though so no chance of attending a protest in DC! And the only way for you to get to the airport one would be to fly haha.
yea that would kinda defeat the purpose of an airport protest haha. anyway, come on someone give me a glimmer of hope. how can we claim to be the good guys when we just dont care. apathy is a dangerous thing because as bob marley said "the people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off". we have to at least try to change things or the world is just going to keep getting worse.
