...i had like 3 dreams that i died..and everytime i died i always wake up and sometimes i wish i would stay asleep and watch and see what happens but why do we have dreams that we die? if anybody knows the answer...i would love to hear your response....
Hi gnarkill_chik .... but you are still dreaming. So just watch and see yourself change even as you are changing right now. To die is but about to change and in dream you open that awareness. In the morning you start to think again. It does not mean you are someone different now ... You just have changed again. You are the one who holds the answers that you have connected to before you came into this lifetime, to explore your own reality and truth, and there is always more than plenty of it. And everything else is just letters on a screen. So imagine you draw the answers of what you truly want to know, yet it is about knowing that what you already know while you open to your own center from where change is initiated. What is life, what is death, what are dreams, what is change, who are you ... each moment in your life holds the answers, be it in dreams or wake state. Sometimes the only question is, where are you when the answers seem strange, or silly, or disjointed. And then move deeper inside yourself and be the one connected, and act on it ... embrace what is and trust this is right where you wanted to be, to see the wonder and beauty that is yours that you create even as you breath in and out. Life is the answer always, but sometimes we enjoy the questions, too. And maybe this way we do not get used to much to it, so that we always have a place to grow from and find a new view. Just rambling a bit ... now I wonder if it makes sense for you, too. Thank you for the post!
wow...ive never really thought about it that way...what i always thought was like when your alive your dead...and when your dead alive! That was my perspective on what i thought, and sometimes dreams do make sense...and some dont...im soo confused about it, and i recently had two dreams that was in some sort of sequence, and both dreams i got into a car accident...but thanks alot for that awesome response...it does answer my question...thanks again...it makes me understand more.....
Apparently you always wake up right before you die in a dream, because if you actually die in a dream your brain thinks you're dead and stops working. Or something. *shrug* And I love The Doors. <3
actually my sister died in her dream the other day and she's still very much alive. ive heard that myth though, i guess its only to scare you.
I died in a dream the other night too, I was kind of surprised to see such a recent post about this. In my dream, somehow I fell into something, and electrocuted myself by accident, but I could not escape, until I rolled away from it after I caught on fire from it, but then I dove into some water to put out the flames since rolling wasn't helping, and I got further electrocuted and felt myself take my last gasp. I am still very much alive and breathing, although I do feel like I felt death. I have also heard about not waking up resulting in actual death, and if this is true, then I must have cheated it. Be well everyone
I die sometimes in my dreams and just go on dreaming as a ghost. If I were to die in real life I would've been dead a hundred times over! It never scares me either since I know it's a dream... Besides, death only scares me because of the possibility there may be nothing there.. in my dreams it's kinda cool, I don't have really one specific thing that happens but there's always something else.
I've died in a dream before, but I was still around just dead... I was at like the next level up... Interesting to watch..
I got incinerated by an atom bomb in a dream once. I saw a satellite break into six pieces and drop down in a hex pattern. I watched the one closest to me, and when it hit, it exploded. I saw the house across the street vaporize and then the wall of flame engulfed me and I was history. A friend of mine had a recurring dream she was falling. For years she would wake up before she hit, and each dream she fell farther. Finally she let herself splat, and said she dreamt she could feel it. She never had that dream again.
...its crazy on how i our dreams take us into another world, a world filled with possibilities, i think thats the way i view it....
once i dreamed i was being eaten by a midget wolf. i decided not to try to wake because i wanted to see what would happen. he tore chunks on my arm.
ahaha.... i have dreams i'm dying all t he time...sometimes they're kinda silly, but i've had a few where i'm just really like...tired...then i die...and stuff just fades out and i stop dreaming or wake up.
I died in a dream once also, I had 20-30 daggers and kitchen knives stuck in my chest, I coughed blood onto the carpet, my hands, everywhere, watched ,the herse drive away that damned melting clock watched it with me
I believe that when you die in your dream it is a part of yourself dying. Not in a bad way though, it's like a part of your personality that you don't need anymore or that doesn't do you good dying. You have to except change and move on, death in a dream can be a very good thing, it symbolizes change.
ive died once in my dreams... me and my mom were walking through a town and we were suddenly cornered by a group of guys, and they all had shotguns. i wasnt really scared and my mom didnt seem to be upset at all either. they told us that one of us had to die today. my mom looked at them and told them to shoot me. which to this day still doesnt make a whole lot of sense, because my mom would never put me in harms way like that. i can remember a guy pointing the gun right at my head and shot. i had a squeezing sensation in my head, like there was pressure being applied. everything went black.
death & dying is a release from your worries. flying is also a release from your worries but it is of a temporary nature - you are fleeing your problems. with death there is a terminus to the worry or problem. otherwise death means a birth. its not the death that is worrisome - it's the trip down; that represents despair, the further down and longer it takes the longer it''ll take to "hit bottom" (utter despair). If you're really worried about death - hope you never dream (and actually feel) being kicked in the stomach (your hara). being kicked in the back isn't as fatal - you'll be royally screwed by someone, though. remember, if you listen to your dream warnings you might be able to avert death in your real life. always trust your intuition. to see a marriage ceremony usually means a death of a close one.
