just read an article saying that these fucken idiots are planning to picket the funerals of the little kids who were killed in the connecticut school shootings. Saying how its god judgement or whatever. I have a feeling some of them might be attening their own funerals if they show up..
“Westboro will picket Sandy Hook Elementary School to sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment,” Shirley Phelps-Roper tweeted on Dec. 15. http://www.examiner.com/article/con...ng-westboro-baptist-church-planning-to-picket Vile people.
Nobody would know about them if the media refused to give them attention. The WBC seems to be rather well-funded... by whomever. Anyone who would allow themselves to pay any attention and get outraged over what they do is just as much of an idiot as they themselves are.
I guess Rupert Murdoch is funding them to spread some fear and drag in audiences / advertisers etc. What makes you think they are well funded?
they're still around? i thought there was some judgment against them picketing funerals or something.
In response to the protests conducted by Westboro members at Indiana funerals, a bill was introduced in the Indiana General Assembly that would make it a felony to protest within 500 feet (150 m) of a funeral. The bill provides penalties of up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine for those found to be in violation of the law. Shortly before this bill was signed members of the church had threatened to protest in Kokomo, Indiana, at a funeral service that was being held for a soldier who was killed in Iraq. On January 11, 2006, the bill unanimously (11–0) passed a committee vote, and while members of the church had travelled to Kokomo to protest, they were not seen during or after the funeral service. On May 23, 2006, the state of Michigan banned any intentional disruption of funerals within 500 feet (150 m) of the ceremony. Violating the statute would be a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine for the first offense and up to four years in prison and a $10,000 fine for a subsequent offense. On May 17, 2006, the state of Illinois enacted Senate Bill 1144, the "Let Them Rest In Peace Act", to shield grieving military families from protests during funerals and memorial services of fallen military service members. A first-time violation of the Act is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine and a Class 4 felony for a second or subsequent offense, which is punishable by one to three years in state prison and a fine of up to $25,000. On May 29, 2006, President George W. Bush signed into law the Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act (Pub.L. 109-228), prohibiting protests within 300 feet (91 m) of the entrance of any cemetery under control of the National Cemetery Administration from 60 minutes before to 60 minutes after a funeral. Penalties for violating the act are up to $100,000 in fines and up to one year imprisonment. The bill garnered overwhelming bipartisan support in Congress with a 408–3 vote in the House, with 21 not voting, and a unanimous vote in the Senate. On January 11, 2011, the state of Arizona held an emergency legislative session to pass a bill barring protests within 300 feet of a funeral and within an hour from its beginning or end. The bill was swiftly signed into law ahead of the January 12 funeral of those killed in the 2011 Tucson shooting. On August 2, 2012, Congress passed a bill that included restrictions on demonstrators at military funerals. The bill says that demonstrators are not allowed to picket from 2 hours before the funeral service until 2 hours after, and requires that protesters stay at least 300 feet away from grieving family members.
seriously. instead of that kid killing children he should have killed these morons. No one would care. No investigation.
Westboro is why Angel Action was formed. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=459702&f=37
ive heard about the angels people. there are similar acts as well, such as the vets who ride motorcycles, theyll go by them and rev their engines so the west boro baptist people cant be heard. These people are seriously signing their own death warrants though. Im pretty sure someone already tried to kill them back in the early or mid 2000's and was supported by the public lol. There were even charities set up for the guy to get bailed outta jail or something. or pay for his legal fees or probation or whatever.
there's no way in hell WBC is getting away with this one I think they may have miscalculated this time
Arizona passed emergency legislation after the Giffords shooting spree to thwart it. http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/01/11/arizona.funeral.westboro/index.html
I Expected This To Happen Years Ago, With America Being So Gun Happy, Combined With The Emotion Of A Returned Veterans Funeral I Am Astonished That Nobody Took A Couple Of Them Out. I Saw A Film About 4 Years Ago Called "Americas Most Hated Family", And I Quickly Understood Why. A Point I Have Trouble Understanding Is Why Child Protection Angencies Haven't Removed Their Children To Protect Them From The Intense Hate Generated By This Group, Surely It Must Be Illegal To Expose A Young Child To This.???.... Cheers Glen.
