I wouldn't suggest going mushroom hunting on your own since you obviously know nothing about it. However, if you do not take my advice, look into identifying Psilocybe Caerulipes aka "blue foots" if you'll be in West Virginia. They grow on decaying wood generally near streams on hilly terrain from May-June I think.

well i know that most mushrooms that bruise blue have psilocin in them, so basically you can trip on them
keep in mind some mushrooms that bruise blue are poisonous and dont contain any psilocin or psilocybin

hey man, dont just pick up a mushroom and eat it. it could kill you fast.
there are some poisonous mushrooms that look exactly like psychedelic mushrooms, if you studied Mycology you could probably tell the difference.

go on Amazon.com and check out some books on:
    mushroom hunting & mushroom identification
    seriously

    ALSO: http://www.shroomery.org/6235/Mushroom-Hunting-FAQ

Here you can find tons of info on hunting mushrooms, and the Locations of Psychedelic mushrooms, that reside in the States, ect... its pretty cool :)

This is a MUST if you are going mushroom hunting and know nothing about them..

im telling you, dont just pick up a mushroom and eat it, ever! :>

if anything grab a bunch, even if you find different ones, take some pictures, and show the guys at shroomery.org, some of them specialize in mushroom identification.

    GL..
    peace

I also happen to live in WV, and I can tell you there is no point whatsoever in going into a cowfield. We just don't have cubes here. You can try looking for Psilocybe Caerulipes, but good fucking luck. I've never found one. If you really want them that bad, the best thing to do is grow your own. It's much easier than you think.
