Not everyone is gonna wanna answer this and that's fine.... Have you ever had any type of govermental assistance? I've went to the food bank quite a few times around 1999......
I've had to be on food stamps before. And my children are still on medicaid. Cashier jobs don't pay medical bills or much else, for that matter.
yeah i know what you mean. the jobs ive had really really suck. im gonna start waitressing at a shitty restaurant...yay.
yeah....I'm getting help while I go to school I worked fulltime and went to school fulltime before.....I failed most of my classes or withdrew before I failed after that I drove truck for 12-16 a day, needless to say I saw my kids very rarely and all my money was going to babysitters so I need a regular 8 hour job that can still support us....college was the only way so now I get welfare (bring it on, bitches)
i've been off and on it since 2001.... but my husband just graduated with a BA..... so hes on the job search... hopefull i can soon say goodbye to that help... but we've needed it, im grateful help was there for me.
I would become homeless before I EVER accept government assistance. So to answer your question, no, I haven't.
i think it's funny how all these people are like "before i accept gov. assistance id be homeless or jump off a bridge"... im sure most, if not all, of them have never been homeless.
there's nothing wrong with getting temporary assistence. If I was asingle mom and didn't have the family I do I would apply in a heart beat. Moms need to be home with there kids. I think welfare should be provided to all single mothers untill their kids hit school age.
My mother was a single mother of 3 and we all grew up on welfare for several years. I never cared or was ashamed of it because I understood my mother's situation. People can say never because they have never experienced what others go through and I'm sure if they did they too would accept government aid.
i havent... but i have nothing against people who do use welfare or any sort of government assistance... and i have nothing against welfare or food stamps.
