was BET the first black network, and..

if you can remember, think about this developing pattern..

If you can recall its first airing, was it a little extreme. did you find some the rap at the time Offensive?..

Im just thinking some weird stuff peoples bare with me..

I was remember the hard core rap and it was much like mtv was.. Now not there is anything wrong with that. But over the years bet got better, and recently there has been more black networks, and more black shows, producers on many different networks.. Aside from Oprah.

And I do believe it took sometime to get this far considering race as a factor..

Then I got to thinking the LOGO network.. Its for the Gay community, but like BET you didnt need be black to enjoy the programing.. And while some the shows may be extreme. Its educational at its best.

And while Logo may be the first gay network. Are there more in the making?. It would only make sense...

It seems to me that the cartoon network is mainly aimed at stoners.. Adult Swim Hemp Tycoon.. Is this a trend?. Will we see more stoner networks following this pattern?......

and are the black networks just stoner networks.., Lulz.

I was watching Centric little while ago and the Cosby's was invaded with the muppets.. go figure.. :2thumbsup:

 

my first experience with BET was on a visit to Texas in the mid to late nineties and i thought it was such a stupid channel (we didnt have it here and im pretty sure we still dont...if we do I blocked it from the guide lol)

 

strange cause I know many people that blocked it also.. I can recall my gf and I watching Poetic Justice on BET, the movie wasnt even that old yet.. All I can really remember are videos. It seemed I watched more Bet around late 90's, but now I dont think Ive seen many shows on it at all. I used to love BET in the late 90's and early 00's, back when Rap City was on the air and still entertaining. BET sucks now though, and I only watch it when Everybody Hates Chris is on. lol

 

ok , so its not just me that notices there isnt anything on now..
some movie called "fresh" is on tvone im watching it actually theres pit bulls fighting bout something, I was gonna watch star trek but i seen this one..

 

Fresh is a good movie. Wait until you see the ending. lol That little dude's a genius

And no.....there's not really anything worth watching on BET anymore.

 

im haveing a hard time hearing the movie cause im high as all shit.. i had to check the clock and day to make sure not a work day,, i hate that.. lol. get so high i dont even know if im suppose to work..

 

Well when you have days off during the week, it's easy to lose track of the days like that. lol

We had it back then. I don't know about now because I don't have cable/satellite.

I thought it was stupid and segregation. If it was "white only" there would riots...

I've never watched a second of BET.

The name made me pretty uninterested, as I find the average black doesn't have any taste.

LOGO's good sometimes, but too many crappy indie first-gay relationship movies, and I thought Adult Swin was stoner TV

 

Adult Swim is just for people coming off of their drugs at 12-6am.

 

i saw a few seconds of BET back in the late 90s, and quickly changed the channel every time.

i've never even heard of LOGO. wasn't bravo the first gay channel?

I watch The Game sometimes. It's a good show. And anything they do about rappers I like.

But I just... don't like most of it.

That's exactly why I started watching it. In the old DXM days. Don't do DXM anymore and I don't like Adult Swim anymore either.
