want to start growing, have a question

i see all kinds of different spores to buy but what strain is good to start with?

 

cambodian or PESA are the best, all rounded ones

potent as fuck, colonizes fast, grows fast and you get huge yields

For the guys on here who've had success with growing... do you really need all that unessecary equipment? My uncle says you need a whole sterilized room, a glove box and some other things. I have a pressure cooker but do you really need much else?

 

I have known people to have managed with pretty much nothing but yes. if you have a clean lab you wouldn't really need a glovebox, gloveboxes kinda suck, laminar flow is the way.

if you are doing pf cakes no you dont really need much, but anything more advanced you will need more gear.

 

You definitely need to keep it clean, I use a homemade glove box. A clear plastic storage bin with two holes cut out of it and I don't have any contamination problems. A whole sterile room is unnecessary. And as far as strain, they are all basically the same, I started with Hawaiian, and Golden Teacher. They looked a little different from each other, but the differences were minute, and the growing process was identical.

 

I used B+, The Golden Teacher, and Ecuador as some of my first strains, but if you want some jaw dropping visuals i highly suggest Thai Pink Buffalo

As far as strains, IMO, Puerto Rican is good for a beginner, because they grow so quickly that contams never get a chance. Not sure how hard they are to fruit yet, though.
