mt. st. helens in washington erupted today! it seems like it might keep going for a while.. who knows, we might end up with an active volcano in the continental US kinda crazy
blah i dont want to hear about anything geological i have a massive geology test on wednesday and im fucked for it
The west coast is doing it's best to fall off the continent before I get there. Sorry about the geology exam... don't try astronomy..I swear they've got me out there with nothing but a compass trying to measure the distance to stars.
Hmmm.... I thought it erupted yesterday? Or did it erupt again today? They say that they are expecting another eruption, and one bigger than they had previously thought.
yeah, they had to evacuate tons of people. ah that sucks about your geology test. at least you dont have a calc exam on monday and an assload of chem homework plus a lab report like me. *kills self*
I'm supposed to be studying wavelengths right now but somehow I got hooked into this board...must un-glue-self-from-screen.
Check out the Mount Cam I still think that they should have changed the designation from Mt. St. Helens to somthing along the lines of Crater St. Helen, or Large Pile Of Molten Rocks St. Helen after the first eruption. Before: After:
DAMN! that was the first before/after pic ive seen yet! pretty amazing, though. Hehehe.. how about "Holey" St. Helens..
when did it erupt??? this morning/afternoon, all it was doing was blowing out steam. And I didnt hear about it erupting all this weekend... it was just stirring a bit.
your cute. and being a New Zealander, volcanos erupting is a regular occurence, but most of our active ones are located fairly far away from largue, urban areas of people. Just as well I guess.
It didn't erupt, it's just blowing steam like you said; yesterday was the most significant emision of steam and ash, but no lava yet. Looks like things have died down for the time being.
I didn't think mt. st. helens was the type of volcano to spew lava.. only explosions of ash and steam?...
