Can anyone recommend any decent to professional standard video editing and compression software? I'd like to be able to convert and export video to a variety of formats / compression rates / frame rates etc.

While I can't recommend good SOFTWARE for it, I do recommend that you use an Ogg Vorbis format (OGM) for video compression. Find software that can do just that.

I've discovered that my hope of an all-in-one thingy were a bit naive, I've been using a combination of Adobe Premiere, CCE encoder and VirtualDub, they seem to do the trick. Thanks, I will try Pinnacle and TMPGenc. And who needs money when there's bit torrent? [IMG]
