Is vocodin addictive? If so, what are some symptoms of withdrawl?

Hardcore withdrawl feels like you're going to die.

But you won't. It's not life threatening.

I've never experienced it, but I've seen narcotic withdrawl lots of times.

Mild addiction entails a stomach ache and a general I-fell-like-shit feeling upon withdrawl. Not to mention bitchiness.

i HAVE experienced it and gecko is right it feels like you're going to die. you know how if you look at a really bright light it gives you a headache? you get HORRIBLE headaches from looking at ANY sort of light. that was the worst part for me besides the vomiting and the shits.

Ummm, I think i'm addicted to xanax and I had to quite so I could pass a drug screen for a job oppertunity. I stopped for 3 days 4 nights and I felt nausous, sick, feverish, totally lethargic, I was crying, and I thought I was dying. Plus I got prescribed to vicoden since my wisdom teeth are coming in and I have such a high tolerance to bars vicoden doesn't effect me. I sell them to my friends for a dollar. haha. It's not like I was about to suck dick for a bar, I suppose you eventually get through it, but it really REALLY sucks ass.

Addiction to xanax is not the same thing as narcotic addiction.

Your emotional upheaveal is because the xanax has surpressed your normal emotional flow and your brain is over compensating upon sudden withdrawl of the drug.

    It's most likely temporary.

addiction to xanax can be really bad though. if you're hardcore addicted you can go into seizures from withdrawal. but its effects are all temporary. opiates fuck with your brain and destroy your dopamine receptors. this is actually kind of interesting, william burroughs claims that there is no such thing as a schizophrenic junkie, it's not possible and if the dopamine hypothesis is truly the cause of schizophrenia it would make sense.

but yeah as long as im on a burroughs kick i might as well say this. burroughs claims that the only addictive drug is junk that there is no habit to cocaine, amphetamines or any of the other drugs hes tried.

Against all evidence, I agree with Burroughs.

I played hard with those other drugs and never got addicted to anything. Wish some of the people I know could say the same.

I was always real carefull to never even flirt with narcotics addiction, though.

Uh, there is no cross tolerance between benzo's and opiates...

You thought about "sucking dick" for a Xanax?

    You need to get help...

dude i said i would not suck dick for xanax, like never, why do you turn my words around. I'm thinking of like of Half Baked my that dude is mad a Chapell for going to rehab for weed and he's like "did you ever suck dick for weed"? I was not serious. I never get addicted to anything, ciggaretts, anything really, I just like bars because they are anti anxiety medicine and I'm socially anxietious, but I usually just call a drug dealer and buy the drug, it's that easy. I have a job I can afford it.
