hey everyone, just thought i would share my experience at vibes this past weekend. from your very own, DeadHead... alright so thursday, me and my buddies chilled at our campsite in west camp, smokin weed and whatnot. later, i took 3 rolls, my friends took more and we headed to DarkStar. by the time we got to the concert field, i was rolling so freakin hard lol. everyone in the crowd was just on so many phychs it was awsome. when they played sunshine daydream at the end, everyone was just jamming out. then the rain came.....eh. so we left. anyone else catch that weird bald kid who was dancing on the boardwalk for like hours? lol. friday was a pretty cool, deep banana blackout is so good!! i was candyflippin that day and pretty drunk. moe. was really good too, but they only got to play like 3 songs before they were cancelled(rain). they really jammed out to stranger than fiction tho. on saturday, we all took a couple hits of good acid early on in the day. we were out by the shore and i freaking missed assembly of dust, i was so upset. anyone know what good songs they played?? but anyways later on we took some rolls and jammed out to ratdog with some chicks from our camp area. after we went lookin for nitrous and did a few ballons, then smoked a shit load of weed. by sunday, i was so tired and burnt out. we caught the end of john browns body, but we had to leave after. i was mad i didnt get to see grace potter, i was really looking forward to it. overall, vibes was a great fest, despite all the rain lol. only regret is not seeing more music. but hey, theres next year. thanks for reading and feel free to post stuff about your experience at the fest. peace and love - deadhead
sounds awsome. too bad about the rain. sounds like you took lots of rolls! lol. wish i could have been there. next year i am going to get a group together and just hit up festivals all summer long.
yeah there was someone found dead on sunday. i heard both his arms and legs were broken and his face was burned... idk but thats pretty scary shit. one other comment: incredible bad vibes in west camping this year. there was so much gas around it was disgusting. trash everywhere, nitrous alley was a disgrace to vibes. vibes was suppose to have a zero tolerance policy for nitrous this year which was complete bullfuckingshit. as much as i enjoy a ballon or too, i cant stand all the other things that come with nitrous gangs. security did NOTHING! they were payed off, i personally witnessed them screaming at the nitrous gangs like, "wheres the money!" it was really sad. so many people got robbed, it was just unbelieveable. hissing tanks all nite...not a place with good vibes. i dont even know if im going next year......anyone other comments??
man that sucks. my friend got a ticket (i didn't get to go though, no money ) and we were laughing about how it said "no nitrous" right on there... anyway deadhead, did all that crap "ruin" the festival?
I had the time of my life. I had the most mind blowing life changing acid trip also. Fucking scarlet bagonias came on when I was peaking... blew my mind. But sad to say, this festival sucked. My girlfriend and I were actually scared walking by nitrous alley. What the fuck man, everyone was fucking strung the fuck out. And to top it all off, someone was fucking killed by those nitrous assholes.
what's all the shit that comes with nitrous gangs? i've never heard of such a thing...sounds "interesting" at least. nvm, read prone's post. vivid enough for me i guess i'm goin to a small festie this weekend. i'll prob eat 30 mg of 2cb on saturday
I hate the nitrous. It makes people retarded and violent. All those fucking balloons on the ground... fucking gross man. To top it ALL off, no one there knew what DPT was, so I couldnt share any
yea what all comes along with nitrous? i'd imagine that people wouldn't be too bad about that stuff. just bring a nasty crowd with it? nitrous gangs? man that's a shame that someone was killed. that should really not be happening at a festival. plus if the media gets ahold of that, that is an extreme propoganda victory for the anti-drug government reps.
Even though MOST people were great, and the music was wonderful, and the acid was phenonenal, if they dont change things at this fest then I think it shouldnt be held anymore. If people are not able to feel SAFE at moments then that completely destroys the message of the event. Fuck you bridgeport.
so were there a lot of "unfestival like" drug users around? like hardcore drug addicts as opposed to peaceful trippers? but that sounds SO messed up about the nitrous gangs. i've never heard about them... are they a problem at other festivals as well, or was GOTV this year at brideport particularly bad? i'm surprised nitrous is such a major problem... i don't really go to festivals but i wouldn't have guessed nitrous would be as much of an issue as it seems to be. i'm almost glad i couldn't get the money together, hearing about all that.
yeah, the music i did hear was really incredible and the areas by the stage and main area of the fest was filled with plenty of great vibes. but oh man west camp was so bad. the nitrous mafia wrote like "phuck phish" and shit like that all over the bathroom, and just brought many bad vibes. all they care about is money, these groups come from philly and mass. tanks dont get filled in bport pr0ne, the homeboys dont know nothing about gas. the town does deserve blame, but the real culprit is the security AND the COPS! cops rode their horses down nos alley and DID FUCKING NOTHING!! same with security who was taking bribes all day. everyone camping near the alley saw all that shit go down. i honestly think both cops and security were intimidated. hahaa did anyone catch the dudes with the tank walking thru the crowd with that hissing tank!! i think it was when the dude from DBB like layed down on his back and jammed out lying down. that was amazing
You answered it yourself. It's an actual small-scale mafia that travels from festival to festival, buying multiple tickets per person (for when they get kicked out) doing nothing but selling N2O. At All Good, I saw them take some guy's tank from him, simply because he wasn't in the N2O mafia. And yes, that's what they named themselves. From what I can gather, the guy dead at GOTV was because the N2O mafia beat him to death for selling N2O. It's fucking terrible shit.
Yeah I guess you take the good with the bad. What a great time though. I gave this little girl a couple hits during George Clinton and she was humping the air so hard she cut a fucking line in the ground!
It's so weird how the luck of the draw on where you camp can change things. I was lucky enough to get a spot near the road way down by solar cafe. Somehow, the ground stayed really dry (high ground) even though there were a bunch of flooded out tents near by in inches of water. I pretty much had great people camping near by. There were a couple groups of...basically idiots....but I just got along with everyone and didn't worry about it. I didn't really go far back into west camp much late at night, and mainly took the road to our spot from the stage, so never really felt worried or anything. I did go back behind the baseball field area and on that NO2 strip really late Saturday night (3:30-4)....and people did seem sort of unfriendly and strung out. There was a lot more coke in that area than the last couple years...and around in general. But, I had a great time, never was that worried even though I was alone late a few times....and people talked about people getting robbed and stuff. I hung out mostly with some guys who camped next to me and their group of friends, who were very cool. (One guy I tripped with Thursday night and we had a blast hanging under the canopy until we finally went out in the rain and saw the Machine....not often you click with a stranger that well...meeting while tripping....) The music was great this year. Almost everyone was just really fun to watch and seemed like they were so excited to play. I brought my bike....only used it a few times...but man am I glad. It was so fun riding around tripping in the middle of the night. P-Funk was outrageous. Rat dog was great. Perpetual Groove was perpetual!!! I'm not sure if any of you caught that show, but it was amazing....I dropped some acid pretty late (10:30) that night, so I was still tripping when I stopped by an saw Perpetual Groove's last two songs...which lasted at least 45 minutes. Amazing...weird!! I really got into the music this year...they had some great bands. Keller Williams....blah blah blah. I took molly for the first time Friday, which was wonderful. It really helped me with all the strung out and otherwise strange people....I felt like I could sort of understand were they were coming from. I know there was a lot of talk about what the guy who died looked like and someone says he was dropped out of a car....but I just don't know what happened. I think if he died and fell into the mud...even because of diabetes or something...he would probably look a little bad by morning when people found him. I really hope it wasn't murder or an overdose...especially not murder. I just think when something like this happens, especially at a festival, there will be a lot of rumours circulating, so it's hard to know the truth...maybe ever. I had a dry, safe, pretty friendly camping spot, was really prepared with food and beer, found all the acid, super excellent weed, and molly I needed, and loved the music. I also had a great time in the day Saturday and Sunday with my family and friends. I know it was a sketchy scene and sucked for some in some ways, but I had an incredible time all around. I think my best vibes yet....yeah...it was. Even with the rain and stuff....it was so fun.
A couple years ago I brought DMT and was really excited to turn people on...I thought I'd find a bunch of people who would love it. It turned out no one was really interested...and there was a group of kids from NY who were hawking "deemsters" anyway....so it wasn't the rare treat I was hoping. I think everyone is more into partying than having a religious experience....even though they aren't mutually exclusive.
couldnt find that many appealing boomers this year. they were taxed heavily tho. what king of doses did yall get. there was us blues, swiss, comic book, and fluff goin around
