Hello, I have been taking a drug that counterballances my "Hyperactive Thyroid gland" called Synthroid(generic for Levothyroxine). I recently read in a book about prescription drugs, that this drug contains Beef tissues and Pork tissues.

This upset me quite a bit because ive been a vegetarian for nearly 4 years now, yet ive been taking meat as a drug...

Now im wondering if there is anyone on these forums that knows of a better way to go about fixing a thyroid problem than taking a drug. Im looking more towards certain foods or herbs than rather another pill that is just organic. lol

    Thanks a lot.

    Your hippy friend, Gus.
