I know lots of you folks have the exact day you went veg stored in your memories.
    I have a month/year only, alas.

November is my anniversary month (1980)
i'll celebrate by going to the Watercourse in Denver, all veg/vegan restaurant and bakery sometime in the month.

    How about you?

I like to be able to remember and commemorate life events with accuracy. Not sure if I'll really celebrate or anything though.

    12th November 2003.

That makes 2 years in a few weeks' time. I guess I won't celebrate or anything, just acknowledge (sp?) it, because it feels so natural for me now and I can't imagine changing back to meat.

    November 2004....

I don't remember the exact date, but I remember why and how. I wanted to go vegan for a long time, and kept failing miserably at it, once I started finding things around my area that catered to vegans it was easier, not to mention after I researched it more thoroughly.

That's about all I remember. My memory is shot.

It's better to do it late, that never do it.

Happy Vegiversary to Apples+ and Rain in summer
    (and me!)
The painful part for me is John Lennon died soon after. Maybe that is why I remember.

Yes, I was. I guess that is part of the reason why I cannot even imagine meat as being a food source, to me eating meat is akin to eating people. Of course, my background is only a part of it... my brother grew up in the same place and he eats meat often.
