I used to smoke everyday, but now am going for once or twice a week. Do you think this merit's the purchase of a vape? I don't exactly have the money, so it'd be a while... should I just make one? is it as good? thanks for the help...
well I made one out of a lightbulb a couple days ago to try it with stem/bits of weed, the weed came out brown but the vapor doesnt taste too great, not to mention I never got higher off that amount as I would of smokin it in my pipe or bong. Makes you cough for a while too, gets you this wierd feeling in the middle of your throat.
i have done it all from ghetto vaps to purchasing my volcano vaporizer............ volcano is the best and the only one worth using if you are going to exclusively vaporize. i have owned hot air guns with customized blown glass bowls.....they work but not as well and are a pain in the ass. however, if u only smoke a couple of days a week, why would you want to spend money on a vaporizer? I got mine because smoking blunts every day was horrible for my health
i got an ivape, basically the same standard wooden box/heating element model as vapor brothers or vapor cannon or something. these types run from around 130-180 dollars, and are quite easy to use and work much, much better than the ones with the glass bubble and the metal heating plate directly heating the pot. the box type vaporizers have an electric heating element encased in a glass sheath. the glass has a hole in the end, about half an inch or so farther out than the heating element reaches, and screws in the inside back of the box prevent the glass from coming into full contact with the back of the box...the gap in the back and the hole in the end allow for suction when breathing through the whip. the whip is a plastic tube with a mouthpeice at one end and a glass funnel at the other end with a screen in it making a bowl peice in the end....this is placed up to the glass that surrounds the heating element and you hit it like a hookah hose....if you've got smokable middies, it tastes like pretty good pot, if you have nuggets, it tastes AMAZING....it gets me about equally high as smoking the same amount, though i'd say it's actually slightly more efficient. i know there are models on the market that are more efficient, but they cost several hundreds of dollars, and using just a little less pot still isn't going to save you the extra three or four hundred dollars you would have spent anytime soon anyway. you get a pretty different feeling from a vaporizer than you do from a pipe, it really tends to wake me up rather than make me tired or sleepy. if you dont smoke cigarettes, smoking a bowl or two a week wont be doing significant damage to your body. if you smoke a lot of tobacco, perhaps using a vaporizer would be worth it. if you dont like being tired when you're stoned, a vaporizer might be worth it, but if you like smoking a bowl and watching tv then going to bed, a vaporizer will make that a little tougher (for me, anyway) i'd say if you're going to get one, you need to get a decent one. definitaly dont get the kind with the glass bubble and the heating plate...they take forever, they tend to burn your weed anyway, and they dont get you as high as if you were smoking. yeah they're cheaper, but if you want a good vaporizer you're simply going to have to resign yourself to spending at least a bit over a hundred bucks. btw, the type of vaporizer i described generally look like this: most of them have a knob somewhere that adjusts temperature. on the ivape (the first one pictured) the knob is on the back, thats why you dont see it
You need to get this one though. It is a hand held hot air convection vaporizer. Its Located at http://www.420forever.com Check it out
i have heard absolutely NOTHING but BAD things about that model posted above, and for what it's worth never take seriously the advice of a member with one post who is obviously trying to advertise for someone to increase sales. check the member name against the name of the site they posted, it should give you some clues haha sort of like the guy with the name "isellglasspipes" who spams us with his website address for some rather crummy looking peices (most of them anyway) though at least he gives forum members a discount....
WHOA.....i just actually checked that guy's site, and that vaporizer is WAY more expensive than you need, too. i agree the standard direct heating units with the glass bubble are shitty, but you should definitely get a model with a GOOD reputation as well as a good price tag. any of the standard box models work the same way, and all should give you great results for a more reasonable price tag than the happy vappy (which is actually the EXACT same model and product as several other vaporizers with different names) which not only runs at a whopping 200 dollars, but has a plethora of bad reviews online. aaaaaahahaha....i also noticed this guy wants you to buy the happy vappy from his site - because he doesnt have any other vaporizers offered, and just wants you to be spending money with him..... http://www.420vaporizers.com/Happy-Vappy.html http://www.marijuanavaporizerreview.com/Happy-Vappy.html
I bought a manual vape from a head shop a few months ago for like 10 bucks. Looks a lot like a meth pipe or something, just a long tube with a bulb on the end with a hole on top. The hole does not act like a carb. Do not hold on to it. It just made all the weed go into my mouth. But if you use a manual, get a candle to heat it up, because it's a waste of butane. It works alright, it's more work, and has a different taste and smell, but it gets you high.
I've been considering either the vapzilla or volcano. Both are top of the line, dont cheap out when buying a vap.
I just have to say that I smoke a whole lot of nug and recently bought a vaporbrothers vaporizer and I just think its so awesome!!!!! I am never going to smoke again, well maybe at a show or somethin but we'll see. First of all its way healthier and its soooooo smooth and tastes good. Plus, I get tons higher then when I smoked. I usually buy a bag a week or even 2 bags a week and I have had the same bag for 2 weeks. It was $150 but so worth it. AND, it doesnt reek like pot so I dont have to get paranoid when my rents come home I think everyone should have one hehe.
i commend the volcano's audacity; it's the best vaporizer and she gets you good. 'Real good, and for a 1/4 the amount of ganj.
I just offered a really cool vaporizer for less than anyone else is selling it. Im just a 19 year old guy that started a little online head shop. I thought the Happy Vappy is the way to go because it give the same results as a vapir and volcano but its cheaper and easier to use. I donna, im sorry, I thought you guys might like it. Dont you think all those "bad reviews" are biased? Anyways, sorry for the inconvience. http://www.420forever.com
volcano is NOT top of the line any longer from what i understand, its just the best -commonly available and well known- vaporizer. there are more precise, higher tech and from what i understand even more efficient AND tastey vaporizers on the market, its just they all look like hospital equipment or some science fair project or something, and cost as much if not more than the volcano in many cases.... however, i understand the volcano is AMONG the best, i just dont personally care to give much thought to all the marketing hype. why should anyone spend 500-600 dollars on a volcano when they can spend 150 on a vaporizer that is more efficient, healthier, and tastier than smoking? even if the volcano IS more efficient than the box type vapes, i can't imagine it being so high quality as to be worth spending an extra 400 dollars on, just you you have to use 1/16th of a gram less or something.....those kinds of savings don't add up too fast.... anyway, while there may be advantages if you choose to buy a volcano instead of an ivape or something, but FOR THE MONEY, if you want an AFFORDABLE peice of equipment that is healthier for you, tastes great, AND is more effective than smoking, the box style vaporizers are for you. if you want to get still a slight bit more bang for your buck and you want the lofty title of volcano-owner, then fine, drop 500 bucks on a peice....but i'm not going to, and i dont think it could possibly be worth it. i still need an opportunity to try one, but i'm sure as hell not going to just buy one.
the vapir is, according to almost every account i've heard, not worth the money it costs by any means. i've actually heard a LOT of REALLY bad things about it. are the bad reviews biased? biased how? if you mean biased as in the opinions of the writers are colored by their personal experience with the products they're reviewing, then of course it's biased - thats the point of reviews! the review sites are simply that - review sites. they dont sell vaporizers, and they aren't trying to push any products. they highlight both good and bad points of many different brands. the vapir has a really bad reputation, and the volcano has a really good reputation, so i'd suggest comparing your product to one or the other, not both. though obviously it has much more in common with the vapir. anyways, if you're going to end by apologizing for spamming us trying to sell us overpriced, shitty peices, why would you immediately follow it up by doing exactly that??? ugh....
I commend u for being an entreprenuer but now u've gone to far.....you actually think your product is as good as the volcano????? CREDIBILITY JUST DIED MY FRIEND. I'd be amazed if the heating element you use is anywhere near the quality of the one in the volcano. Also I'd be surprised if a 19 year old kid with an online head shop did as much scientific research as the gentlemen who designed the volcano. Not to mention I highly doubt u offer a 3 year full warranty or as industrial a product as Storz and Bickel does. Good luck with that headshop jr and keep up the spam
I just bought a bubble vaporizer. basically a lightbulb like glass part and a place to inhale through. put ur shake in the bulb, light it w/ candle until steam rises, and inhale...
