    Peace,

i am glad to have the time to come on and see all my friends :) anyway i found a guy who has most of the parts i need and he practicaly lives down the street from me! and i got another 57 chevy for 400 bucks. rust free but no title or motor or trany but i just need the body anyway. after this car is home things will start to happen fast. then when i am done restoring her i am going to take her on Route 66. any of you and your 'babys' can come along. :) how are you guys? school will be out in 2 weeks and i cant wait. i can get away from all the anoying ankle bitters at school and i can actually spend time around more mature peopel like you guys :)

sounds good man. I want to restore a 70's body type chevy truck. If you all are sorry asses like me and watch that show "trucks", then I want to get a body like the copperhead truck. I do believe that truck is a chevy.. reason I know nothing about them is because I'm just now getting into some classic trucks.

    Peace Matt,

she ran the day i got her home but the gas tank was filled with rust. she runs but i took the radiatior and alternator off along with all the wiring. right now Old Betsy is a shell with a motor and trany. while my other car is no motor or trany but has all the wiring still in her and needs taken out, the dash needs to be dis asembled, I already have the front end taken apart, the front bench needs taken out and if no one wants it i will toss it because i am using the benches from Old Betsy. the other car is a 210 dressed up as a Bel Air along with the top belt line trim on top of the doors and because of that i only need to drill about 30 holes! this car is 90% rust free! 2 floor braces need replaced along with 2 small floor sections and 2 small holes on the drivers dog leg needs mending. but compared to Old Betsy This car is in alot better shape! the other cars options include(d) a 283 v8 motor, a manual trany (4 speed i believe), rear antenna, rear speakers, and a 210 dress up kit. Old Betsys options include a wonderbar radio (very rare), dash padding(ultra rare only 537 57s had em), rocker panel moulding, a 283 v8 with a Rochester 4 barrel, clock, deluxe heater/control climate, and a automatic cast iron trany! when she is done the options will include

v8 mtor with the 4 barrel
    the automatic trany
    dash padding
    teh clock
    wonderbar radio
    rocker panel moudling
    dual rear antennas
    dual rear speakers
    deluxe heater
    dual rearview mirrors
    Bel Air dress up kit
deck lid mouding (trim that fits on bottom of trunk lid and wraps around to fins)
and MABE a continental kit. i dont know yet. i will have to want and see how much i will have to spend for the sandblasting body work and part swaps.

    Peace,

the options the car will have when complete will include

    wonderbar radio
rear power antenna (passenger side) and drivers rear antenna
    backup lights
    rocker panel moulding
    283 v8 motor with Rochester 4brl
    clock
    automatic tranmission
    rear speakers
    bumper guards
    dash padding
and some others options i may include scence this soon to be complete car will be already loaded with the added accessories that both cars came with

    continental kit
    deck trim

most people who have 57s have never even seen a wonderbar or padding for the dash or rear speakers in a 57. they may have hard of them but most people wouldnt even dream of having such a gadget loaded 57. most 57s with such accessories are usualy convertables or 2 dr hardtops!
