Do you consider any aspect of your life or body to be unnatural? I've been thinking about this lately and come to the conclusion that I'd have to say no. Maybe my skin is dryer than I'd like it to be, or my hair ends up in the sink or wind rips at inopportune moments. Other than that, in the words of Mary Poppins, I'm "...practically perfect in every way!"
I have piercings. I suppose they're not natural but I don't see myself not having them. I consider them to be more a part of my body rather than some sort of decoration. I hope that was kinda related to where you wanted this thread to go, hehee
Many days my teaching job seems unnatural. I'm being paid to teach skills to people who don't want them and will try their utmost never to need them. I'm surviving on far less than an average income to a greater degree than most people would expect. Is that natural? I'm not sure. My hair is not its natural color. But so what?
I have my ears pierced, and, my nails painted... The only thing that seems unnatural to me is that... thing, inbetween my legs... Nothing like being born with a birth defect.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/conditions/neurofibroma1.shtml What Is NF? The neurofibromatoses (NF) are a set of genetic disorders which cause tumors to grow along various types of nerves and, in addition, can affect the development of non-nervous tissues such as bones and skin. NF causes tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body. http://www.ctf.org/aboutnf/
I am natural. I am not a computer, nor am I controlled by one. . . [although it sometimes seems like this computer controls me]. Perhaps my raging alcoholism is not natural, but it sure looks like it is compared to others at the bar.
just about everything connected to my physical body feels unnatural but doctors have assured me it's not. that's why i love drug taking: most ppl take drugs to escape but i take them to get grounded. ever perverse!
