Does anyone know how to undo a extended realease morphine tablet? These pills go through me too quick and end up as golfball size #### in the comode.

I guess you could get a pill cutter and cut them into small pieces, or else just smash them up and take them that way. A common side effect of these meds is constipation, which it sounds like you have. I get that problem occasionally, and in fact I have hemorrhoids which I believe are a direct result of taking pain meds. Just make sure you drink plenty of water, and eat foods that are high in fiber, like whole grain bread, wheat bran cereal, apples, etc. If that doesn't work try Metamucil.

Yeah, or you can just crush it into a powder and swallow the powder. That defeats most if not all of the time release.

Remember, the time-release is in the pill, and part of it, it's NOT the outside coating like a lot of people believe.

When i do the new ops i usually cut it up into as small pieces as i can and hold it under my tongue for an hour or so, it doesnt make it completely instant release but its the best method that ive come across yet. Im not sure how the morphines are compared to them though, if they can be powdered or not. Im assuming if they can be powdered they still gel up a whole lot. May as well try holding it under your tongue? i duno, worth a try?
