This friggin' marathon gets me every year....I've seen them all, yet I watch it every year... The Metalocalypse marathon @ 10 may break me off the SciFi though....or the drugs & hookers...
Time Enough at Last Nearsighted, meek bank clerk Henry Bernis is the sole survivor of an H-bomb attack. At last he has the time to engulf himself in his passion for books. Or so he thinks. A Stop at Willoughby A harassed executive escapes into the peaceful town of Willoughby in July 1880. The After Hours A woman who buys a thimble on the ninth floor of a department store later discovers the floor doesn't exist, and makes a startling discovery after the store closes. So many great shows in just the first season.
i used to watch that marathon every year. then they stopped having it in most of the places i lived. you used to be able to watch it on local stations.
the twilight zone is good stuff! the effects are kind of lame and cheesy by todays standards, though..... still some great stuff like the shatner episode with the goblin on the airplane wing, and one I also remember was the one with the girl who got plastic surgery to look normal........ and they take the bandages off and freak out (when she is actually pretty) but all the people (who you dont see their faces at all throughout the episode till the end) are all hideous looking....... so this pretty woman is out of the norm, and she is actually ugly in their eyes (and hers) because everyone else is ugly in our eyes.... rod steiger wrote most of those episodes, and he also wrote the planet of the apes (which is an awesome movie)
Ahh... same here. But I dislike the idiot box... and I know that I will just result to it when I get back from work exhausted anyhow... which is no good, no sir. I am usually rather productive after work... even when I am exhausted... cook myself a full dinner everynight, play lots of guitar, make some hemp jewerly crap, and then sit on this bloody internet to reeeelax. Been sitting on this bloody internet all day ever since I got back from work... I let myself take a day off from life
TZ is one of my favorite series of all time... I rarely missed one when I was growin' up. I watched some the last couple of nights and even saw 2 I'd never seen b4! That was fun.
I'm just glad it's over...heh heh I was in "The Zone" for a couple of days there... After seeing them all off & on again, I think my favorite out of the marathon this year was, "The Little People", & also, "To Serve Man" is always a classic...
kind of on a related subject.... I got a late xmas gift, someone bought me a Twilight Zone dvd set, it was quite cool! I'm getting my husband hooked on the show now, we've been having our own marathon this weekend....
