Well, I wasn't planning on doing a timeline until the six month mark, and it snuck up on me. Since I'm supposed to by studying and am clearly not, I thought I'd set it all up right now!

Here are the deets: I backcombed, (and washed them like normal hair 4 days later, nothing happened) and I haven't done much else to my head, except for try crocheting (I fail at it), and I also felting in 3 extensions which I hated and cut really short, so you can't tell they're there since they're the same length as the rest of my hair.

I have done a deep clean every two months, which is good as I work where there's deep fried food :-( and I have a dirty pets that drool/snot things on me, and sometimes my hair. Sad. I palmrolled for after a few washed, but nothing really came of that. I have found beads and small wraps far more effective at rounding flat hairs.

I'm really happy with what I've done to my head in the experimental department, as it's all things I would have wondered about until I did it.

    Okies, first day :-D

This doesn't really have much to show, but alas, these are all I have, as I am getting lazy and the camera is turning into too much work! Bahaha!

What a great thread! I've got some "fun guys" that look JUST like yours. I am losing all of my wispy tips now at right around 9 months. You are so pretty.

Ha, thanks guys! It's hard around this stage, sometimes they just go so bizarre! Oh well!

-blush- Sanks, I love how I look with dreads too (about 100x better then without, IMO)

Annnnd, I did palmroll too, in the beginning, but that did a whole lot of nothing.

I also forgot to mention that I have ripped and twisted a few random ends, from where there pretending to not knot to close to the end.

I don't want to lose my wispy ends!! Are you looking forward to having none, mamamojo?

I am OVER the wispy ends LOL My hair will lose a decent amount of length once the wispy ends disappear. I just want it to look less shaggy.

    See...[IMG]

Those look great! Mine are brand new and look nothing like yours did. Did you find a lot of hair falling out of your backcombing, especially in the back? That's what is happening to me.

greenearth girl, I didn't have really any fall out later on. Like there's the few strands that did, but the dreads pretty much stayed. There was lots of sneaky congoing that I didn't notice until the deed was done though.

Ahhh! I really like my wispy ends! The locks with extensions are trying to round, and I don't want them too.

Thanks for the compliments all!! It's nice to have some reassurance when some "other people" (hahaha, no dreadies) are asking when I'm going to be brushing my hair. Pfft. Not for a long while yet!!
