Ive only been on a plane once and we had a bit of it. Part of me wouldnt have minded if we crashed, there are worse ways to die. It would probably be the most exciting thing to ever experience too, going down knowing your going hit the ground at death speeds. crazy.
I flew up to wellington a week ago, and had a lot of turbulence on the way I just sat there and endured it. Theres nothing I can do, if the plane crashes and I die then I die and its over, might as well try to enjoy the flight rather than panic or worry about "what-ifs"
i don't understand what's so bad about it... it's just like riding in a car on pothole-filled streets...
i dont see the connection here... please explane how a pothole in the street is in anyway similar to falling 35,000 feet to your death?
sorry i must have been misinformed... i always thought that turbulence was when the plane just bounced around for a couple minutes... apparently when the pilot announce that we were about to experience some turbulence, we actually all fell to our deaths and i'm now communicating from beyond the grave...
i had never heard of a plane crashing because of turbulence; it apparently happens but it can't be that common and if you hit a pothole right it can throw you into the next lane, so it could potentially involve mortal danger as well... besides, nobody said the thread was about fear of dying; the op simply asked how we deal with turbulence, not the concept of death by turbulence...
that's why i was confused... i mean potholes annoy me, but i just don't see getting wasted to deal with them...
Turbulance has never bothered me. I hate it when the pressure in the cabin makes my eardrums feel like they are going to explode.
