I went to the dr. the other day to talk about other birth control options, than the pill.

I told him that I've had allergic reactions to 4 different kinds of the BCP and I asked him if there were other options.

He told me he would have to check with someone else to find out.

He leave the office, he comes back to tell me that since they don't know if my body was producing too many hormones or too much estrogen (causing my reaction to the pills) that they can't do anything for me except prescribe me condoms.

He said they couldn't give me the 'shot' or the ring or the IUD.

Now, I don't know how this works but do you think they should have at least tried to find out what it was exactly that made me have an allergic reaction to the pill? Then from there they would be able to know what would be suitable for me?

I just don't believe that there isn't at least ONE pill out of all the hundreds of pills they have that works for me. They could at least help me out. Rather than prescribing me condoms. Come on now....
    Any ideas ladies?

if your body cant deal witht eh hormones form pill, it probably cant deal with the hormones in the other pills/ring/patch. and teh shot is part of those hormones as well, but its often troublesome for folk

id suggest looking into iuds, see if theres a way you can get one. theyre intended for women whove already given birth at least once just becaus they go in more easily apparently.

Im not sure how I feel about the IUD. Seems kinda risky.
