4 AM and we’re heading to Altos de Maria, a mountain neighborhood 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Panama City. We went through some spooky ass fog and slippery curves but after a 30 minute drive up the mountain, we made it the house. We walked across a small wooden bridge that led to a small yet comfortable looking two floor house. Inside the place looked great, nice kitchen, amazing balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains and the pacific ocean in the horizon. The second level wasn’t really a complete floor but the master bedroom, with a window looking towards the Pacific. The place was perfect. It was already 5 am so we decided to take the Salvador Dali’s. One blotter for him and two for me. Unlike the Hoffmans we ate a couple weeks ago, these were tasteless. It probably took 40 minutes for them to kick in. My vision blurred in and out and paintings were moving as usual. It was time to try music at the balcony...that’s when things got crazy. The sky divided in two colors, blue and light purple. The colors got brighter at every beat of the song, moving across the sky, painting it in different tones, combinations of blue and light purple. Golden triangles flew away from each other, while the floor “trembled” during a particular drum solo. I was experiencing total ego loss, divided into three I wasn’t sure where I was or what I was, something different was happening to me. This all happened during a three minute song. It felt like fucking hours, I’m not kidding. The next song came up and I started feeling strangely nice and accelerated. I started breathing in and out very quickly and a nice tingling sensation went up and down my spine. My body started trembling, like sex but not exactly that, it was different. I was so into the song, I ended up on the floor shaking even more. The song ended and all of the sudden, I get this strong “orgasmic” sensation! That experience alone kicked me in the ass, so I threw the headphones on the floor. Time for a break, I needed one. My friend was smiling listening to Donna Summers moan in a song, full volume, no headphones. From a cellphone but fuck, his phone made a lot of noise. This area of the neighborhood is very quiet, the neighbors hear anything that come from our house. Putting down the volume was definitely the best thing to do at the moment, but Donna Summers had me by the balls, so I said fuck it. Minutes later, somebody knocks on the door and I was obviously in no condition to speak with anybody. I had no other choice, my house, my responsibility.......I opened the door. A cleaning guy from the other house just stood there and we stared at each other. He looked very weird but amusing. I tried not to laugh and politely asked, “what’s up?”. He replies after a couple of seconds, didn’t understand shit, so I ask him if we were making too much noise. He says, “no”. This guy was just too fucking weird. I told him I was a little drunk and if we were being noisy, we’ll keep it down. He smiles, I close the door on him, dude stands there for a couple of seconds and walks away. I look at my friend and he’s got this “wtf just happened” look on his face. Creepy cleaning dude was finally gone. We decided to walk around the neighborhood and give our neighbors a break. The street, grass, trees, everything looked more colorful and bright, the colors seemed to blend in with each other perfectly, like a painting. We walked across a bridge that had a small river flowing under it, this never ending sound completely hypnotized me. The little grasp I had to time slowly faded away and the walk felt infinite and relaxing. This is where I get a strange new sensation...you know when you’re at the beach, standing in the middle of a calm shore, small waves gently flow pass your body one after another? I felt the same thing with air or some kind of vibration that traveled from one part of my body to my ears, making my ear drums vibrate. It felt different and a little uncomfortable. That was very interesting. What was even more fascinating was the fact that my friend felt the same thing as well. Could be the altitude. The beginning of the river was just down the road. A glowing light was shining over a small pond and that my friends, looked amazing. We knew it had to be shivering cold but that didn’t stop us from getting in there. I felt every individual cold drop roll down my back, one after another. I looked at the river travel down a small fall and followed her where ever she felt like going. This is where I felt completely satisfied with my trip and I was officially done. Overall this was one of the most intense and satisfying experiences ever. Thought about a lot of things at the river though. Looked back at several personal issues I wanted to fix. Also felt like going back home and digging up some my old projects I abandoned. Oh and surprisingly I don’t feel like I want to do anymore acid until I fix all of the above. In the meantime, I’ll keep buying and storing. I’m done for now By the way, I've attached a picture of what the view looks like from the balcony.
