That is seriously stretching it, though I know it can be done. We might as well just consider the English language dead.
Might as well use it, consdiering we are all pretty much lazy americans and our informal speech shows that. As long as you don't use it in formal writing, I don't see the problem with it .
I try not to use slang/abbreviations as much as possible. I used conjucntions in normal writing, but not on homework or anything like that. The most casual I get is in IM. I don't use capitalization or periods, but I still use commas, semicolons, apostrophes and capitalize "I." Being lazy in everyday writing is one step away from it being accepted in formal writing.
