i was wondering if any of you old timers had any experiences of belladonna, nice girl but can lead you to delirium, nice town but dont want to stay there.
whilst blackberry picking the other day was puzzled by these black/purple type fruits and was wondering if they where belladonna type berries and if i t was worth messing with them.
any feedback would be recieved with gratitude.

It is definitely not worth poisoning yourself by eating unknown berries of any color! Belladonna, or "Deadly Nightshade" is not something you want to mess with. I don't know how we all survived the 60's.

It is definitely not worth taking the chance....so many berries are poisonous. So please leave the berries for the bears. LOL

Like many things from that time period, I don't remember. If you want to try something, why not go to the health food store and get some valerian tea? It's very relaxing.

P.S. I don't think belladonna would get big enough to look like a tree--it's a plant.

I worked in a state run nursing home for awhile...we had a couple of young people there (I say young,,,they were in their 30's) who knew they were also idiots when they just had to "try" something for kicks.
They are now in a long term facility because their families can't afford a private nursing home and they are full care....coma,and one was a quad from diving into water off a pier to get away from the monsters who were chasing him.....

Belladonna was at one time sold in a product called "asthmador"...not sure if I spelled that right.
It was a powder that could be put on a spoon with a flame under it and inhaled to relive asthmatic symptons.
I have a friend who ate some when she was younger along with a few friends...she said she looked at one of her friends and blood was just pouring out of his eyes....this was a hallucination.
She also tried to crawl into a picture...
and ended up outside butt naked running down the street...said it was like she was "watching" herself...like a dream.
No one had any bad things happen that night....BUT it could have...

If you are truely an "idiot" like you say..and the unidiot part of you knows it.....then have a talk with yourself....or go drink something you find under your sink....try that...maybe it won't fuck you up...or maybe it will....maybe you'll have an out of body experience or maybe you'll end up in a nursing home with someone like me wiping your dumb ass....
not to be harsh but stick with smoking some weed or something...please don't go around "trying" things that others are telling you can hurt you...

So glad to see you're going to be careful, gaz. I'd hate for you to hurt yourself. Much safer to go to the health food store. Sure enough, the prepared tea, roots, or tincture of valerian are nice products.

Belidona looks like tiny black tomatoes(same family)As for valerian root I've thrown a number of pipes away after friends used them to smoke it.It does stink.

I once tried eating “Morning Glory” seeds ‘cus I heard it would make you trip; alas. nothing happened. I'm a horticulturist among other things, and I’ve heard “Leaves of three let it be, and don’t eat the pretty berries.”
