I have been on Norco 10/325 for about a year now taking 2 every six hours for pain. I had fibroids, but had the hysterectomy three weeks ago and now the docs say I shouldnt be in pain so wont prescribe me Norco anymore.

Instead I got Tramadol 50 mg.

How do I make this work so I can get a decent effect/buzz of the Tramadol.

Can I combine it with something OTC, should I crush it and sniff it?

I hate doctors who cover their FDA asses....I was perfectly content until now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

By the way, I am also on Elavil - one tab every night.

    PEACE

take about 4 to 6. Try not to take any more for a little bit see what happens. Crush them, eat.. I just chew them up.

Elavilevated ... not much a buzz there but you can fight it a lot if youve taken it before.. Dont know what the interactions will be like. But I suspect nothing more than a generic nod. do be careful still..

I found 50mg Tramadol ~ 5mg Hydrocodone. So take two or three to see the same effects of one 10mg Norco. They aren't that good for pain IMO and I feel sorry for you that your doctor isn't adequately treating your pain. I recall having to take 7 of them to treat my migraines. However, I had a tolerance then. Don't take more than 5 50mg tabs in the beginning as there is a lowering of one's seizure threshold that is possible!
