watching the town hall debate, Bush looks bad, seems confused and awkward. Which i guess is normal.

I think Kerry won this debate. Bush seemed a little unsure of himself. I think he beat the flip-floping issue to death as one of his few defenses.

They both seemed to have done a better job of getting their points across... not sure who I'd say won this one. At least it was more interesting than the others.

Bush "sounded" (I quote sounded because his entire platform is bullshit, but it sounds nice) better on foreign policy, Kerry killed Bush on domestic issues. But I guess that's to be expected.

Polls right now, on foxnews.com and cnn.com are showing Kerry winning by quite a percentage.

I don't know who won but I think Kerry's message was excellent! He sounded great.
I think Bush's people will think Bush won and Kerry's people will think Kerry won.

This debate was more productive, I was glad for the environment question. I was happy with Bush's answer too, I can now rest assured that Bush is a LIAR. But I already knew that.

If anyone STILL doesn't know where Kerry stands on issues after this debate they are just dumb.

Kerry easily won this debate, in my opinion. Actually, I was rather impressed with Kerry's performance tonight. I still would not vote for him, but I'll give him that much at least.

Really, though, it was nothing more than bullshit coming from both of them, and clearly Kerry is the better bullshit artist of the two.

Unlike Bush, Kerry knows how to successfully bullshit people of at least average IQ.

Bush sounded like a retard. No offense to retards, but Bush is clearly retarded.

I thought kerry won this one. bush just kept mumbling and walking around and bobbing his head like a chicken. I thiought bush was sweating after the environmental question. It seemed like all he could say was that kerry was going to raise taxes heavily for everybody and thet he created 1.6 million jobs or some shit. What a jackass bush is!

Kerry is the more intelligent man, he displayed that again tonight, though ol george certainly did better than the first debate

However, as with every debate this year and well as long as I can remember, both candidates proved that they won't just answer the fucking questions. There is some productivity in these debates, but really they are just an extension of their attack commercials against each other and playing spin master.

I've said it before, my vote for Kerry is a weak one - its going to him because never in my life have I felt like our country is hemoraging severely in many ways as it is right now and well I think Kerry's leadership will provide a Johnson & Johnson band aid on it compared with the generic one Bush has placed on the wounds. ie. both won't stop the hemoraging, nor do they care enough in the right ways to truly make it stop. I just feel the bleeding will be less severe under Kerry and he did say a few things this evening that further solidified this feeling for me.

Kerry did a great job of reasoning, he explained his stances clearly and with justifications. He probably could use more time to further lay out his positions, but Americans would tune out long before he finished.
This debate made me especially proud to be a Kerry supporter.

kerry made numerous slip ups....criticizing bush for giving tax cuts during war, then turning around and saying he'll give tax cuts to those making under 200k....HELLO! wait atleast two sentences before contradicting yourself.

Bush had the better response on stem cells

Kerry absolutely dodged the question on what he would do with iran if the UN failed there.

Kerry spun left and right, as did bush, but kerry did *not* win the debate.

edit: kerry also continued to misleading people into believing that bush and company forced general shinseki(sp) out of office beacuse he criticized troop levels...absolutely and utterly false.

Ugh, each party presented numerous false facts. Pointing out only Kerry's is just a lame attempt to make Bush look better.

Face it, Bush barely answered anyone's questions at the debate. He showed us that more of the same is actually what we can expect on the domestic front. He couldn't answer how he was going to repair diplomacy in the world, he seemed suprised at the questions about the Patriot Act and our civil liberties. All he could really say is "I hope you don't feel that way..."

Kerry actually gave answers and mentioned plans that he has for this country in the next four years. We hardly got any of that from Bush. He is too busy tring to discredit Kerry than figure out how he are going to fund his own "No Child Left Behind" act.

I think that Kerry connected with the middle class in the debate, and Bush probably only connected with those already decided they are going to vote for him...

does anyone remember that one moment when kerry was answering a question and he was talking about how the u.s. should not have went into iraq unilateraly... then kerry finishes and bush cuts off the person trying to ask him a next question THREE TIMES and he like FREAKED OUT! starting off with .... "tell tony blair....!!! blah blah blah"

i thought it was absolutly hilarious and it just shows how dudya cannot control himself.

I loved the part where Kerry was like "This president has no plan to lower health care" then Bush comes up and is like 'Yea, actually I have a plan I've been saying for months" then says it and Kerry still offered no real plan.

lol, I don't think you even payed attention. Kerry said he did have a plan. Millions more are going to have healthcare, all children will have healthcare, and he is going to help us import drugs from Canada to help lower perscription costs....

Sounds like a plan to me.

You can also go on his website like he mentioned and look at each specific point of his plan. They cant read off their entire plan in 90 seconds.

Bush's plan sucked. Like Kerry pointed out, maplractice only accounts for 1% of the costs....so Bush's plan is basically going to help get rid of soem of that 1%...oooh, those are some big numbers there...

Sheesh...I don't really care for dems or repubs, but at least I can watch a debate without spinning...
