this is totally off subject but i am to lazy to find another forum. my question is, would it make sense to call a jamaican the N word (which i will not say incase there are africans on this forum) are they originally from africa? or are they there own kind of breed?

 

there are no "breeds" of humans.....all black people have origins in Africa

there's a BIG difference between '******' and 'nigga.' HUGE. One is a horrible racist word used to discriminate, the other is a friendly word friends call each other. Whether or not you like it, black people call each other that. I have friends I could say the 'n word too and they wouldn't take it the wrong way... like 'yo wasgood niggaz?'

You shouldn't call anyone a nigga you don't know well enough, though. Some people will get offended.

Actually, **** is the old Germanic word for vulva/vagina (Latin terms). It wasn't made vulgar until William the Conqueror's invasion when Germanic became the official "lesser" language and the Germanic peoples introduced cursing.

First, yes, they were used as slaves, in fact, most Africans weren't brought to America, they were taken to the Carribian islands to work the sugar plantations. I don't know if anyone ever called them niggers, or if they use the term among themselves today, though; I would guess not

Second, Africa is not the only place with black people; they are also found in southern India, as well as the Australian Aborigines.

Third, I think blacks today are only hurting themselves saying "nigga". Because it is the same as "******" (if you want to test it, walk up to some black guys you don't know and say "hey, nigga, what's going on" and see how fast you get your ass beat). It may be a term "ok" to use among themselves, but I think it just enforces "differentness" and division of the races, when we should be trying to get beyond such distinctions.
