I am almost 20 years old and have been taking ADD stimulants since the fifth grade. I have not had any problem with tolerance until the past semester. 70 mg of vyvanse does not affect me at all, and i do not notice a difference from when i take it and when i dont (besides being tired). I am prescribed to 70 mg of vyvanse a day and 20 mg of dextroamphetamine a day too, but i cannot even tell that i am taking them any more. Adderal makes me pissed and focalin and concerta give me ticks, and i do not know of any medicine that will actually effect me while not also having undesirable side effects. I know that meth is prescribed for ADD (desoxyn), and i am probably going to get my doctor to give me some because i need to have an ADD medicine that actually works.

Also, i am taking amantadine (300 mgs daily), which is a parkinson's disease medication that is supposed to potentiate the amphetamines due to the fact that it is a dopamine agonist.

I am seeking any insight to my problem. Any feedback will be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Does anyone have any advice? I thought that at least one person would have provided me with some insight by now.

Take a break to get your tolerance down, then when you start back take a 15 mg DXM capsule twice a day. This is far below the DXM dose that will get you high, and crazy as it sounds it works great. There is a long thread somewhere on www.bluelight.ru on this topic (ADD, I think), my experiences with meth tolerance and DXM can be found there

    Antacids potentiate amphetamines.

Getting a script for desoxyn is rare, upping the dexedrine and dropping the vyvanse is probably more realistic.

Magnesium supplementation can reverse opioid and stimulant tolerances. It works for me. I outlined the somewhat complex science behind it in another thread, but simply take around 1000mg of chelated (this is vital important-don't get cheap crap) Magnesium like Magnesium Citrate.
