    Well a good thunderstorm does clear the air a bit, something that needs to be done here. The scent of flowers is approaching jungle status in the neighborhood. Plumerias, jasmine, magnolias, roses, the hiss of nasal spray - ahh summer in the tropics :)

    If the human brain can not cool down at night bad things happen.

    Seeing what is happening to the world on so many levels at once is disturbing - from climate change to civilizations unravelling from population pressure...

    I think I need to soak my head in ice water.

    Agreed. Climate change is real and with all the floods, heavy rains, mudslides and the latest building collapse in Miami ...it’s dire. Nothing happens over night, this has been a slow fade and here we are. -_-

    Good morning/afternoon/evening/night to all my forum friends.
    Fresh back off holiday, and it is so nice to be home and sitting on me hammock swing in our garden.

    We had back to back thunderstorms yesterday evening well into the night. At one point a tornado cloud was spotted moving along. Nothing happened. Well. Today will be far nicer. I am resuming my running today after from being sick :)

    Following you advice, I recently re-listened to an old interview of Terence Mckenna from 1997, and you were right I found him extremely intelligent and very insightful.

    I loved his description of the state of US politics at the time describing it as a "civil war among lepers"

    "Like any other drug TV has a similar physiological profile and you become the perfect pawn for someone else's trip"

    "Medically coffee has a dubious profile right behind tabaco in terms of cancer, but every workplace makes time for it twice a day in the form of a coffee break, which is perfectly suited for the manufacture of product in an industrial economy"

    "Why don't they have a cannabis break? because it provokes a disinterest in the work cycle, a more laid back, non consuming approach which is why it's so demonized"

    The interview lasted for three hours and you never for a moment lose interest in what he's saying.
