ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER POTENTIAL CONTINUES TODAY...

Dry weather, low humidity and northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph at times is expected today across most of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, excluding Cape Cod and the Islands.
All these parameters suggest elevated fire weather potential, especially from late morning through the afternoon. These conditions may linger into Tuesday. Therefore stay tuned to later forecasts and discussions.

 

Ideal weather for what I have planned for my main meal. Its just 6 o C here and early this morning we had a sleet shower, so took some beef from my freezer, chopped into bite sized pieces, peeled and chopped, 2 potatoes, 2 parsnips, 3 carrots, and a slice of celeriac, all placed in my cauldron, added 2 Litres of onion gravy, curry powder, some chorizo sausage and black pudding, made 8 suet dumplings and the whole mess is even now cooking as I type this !!!
