Happy Friday to all! Today's first sight was this photo in the Guardian: According to the text: There are only so many polite words that come to mind when one spots a ship apparently hovering above the ocean during a stroll along the English coastline. David Morris, who captured the extraordinary sight on camera, declared himself “stunned” when he noticed a giant tanker evidently floating above the water as he looked out to sea from a hamlet near Falmouth in Cornwall. The effect is an example of an optical illusion known as a superior mirage. Such illusions are reasonably common in the Arctic but can also happen in UK winters when the atmospheric conditions are right, though they are very rare.
Good Morning Candy Gal! Thanks for the happy vibes and wonderful music this morning. Sergio has always been a favorite. My parents had this album, and many other jazz classics from the era. I did love the WONDERFUL introduction given by Miss Eartha Kitt, a wonderful lady also known for singing torch songs such as "Ishkidada" and portraying the Cat Woman on the original Batman TV series. Eartha has a fabulous smile, and Caesar Romero is funny getting a ride in that funny and wild pussy cat car. Sorry there seems to be no audio.

Last evening I strolled about the roof parapets a bit, watching the always wonderful sunset. The two palm trees on the left are the Parrot Kingdom. They have a huge pile of nests in those trees... and they rule the neighborhood, mostly. They squawk, they screech, then entertain endlessly. They are affectionate to each other and groom each others feathers. Very social these birds are We ahve flocks of woodpeckers, doves, rather large scary bats, and vultures swoop the area regularly. I have also seen cara caras, zillions of hummingbirds, and Peregrine Falcons. There are other raptors about, but I haven't identified them, yet.
Today is another wonderful day with a predicted high temperature of 82 F. I think it's time to change my avatar!

I was thinking along those very same lines, But what I most look forward to is the forsythia. It's been described over the years in many ways, but I like the catchphrase "Natures first green is gold"
