I think I've touched on these subject before. But I found these two quotes recently. You know, rather speculate I find it easier just to quote people. Then I just share their quotes.

“The Common law existed, while the Anglo-Saxons were yet Pagans, at a time when they had never yet heard the name of Christ pronounced, or knew that such a character had ever existed.”

    Thomas Jefferson,
    to John Cartwright 1824.

The original common law felonies were

    • felonious homicide
    • mayhem
    • arson
    • rape
    • robbery
    • burglary
    • larceny
    • prison breach and
    • rescue of a felon

Law Dictionary by Steven H. Gifis (Barron's Educational Series, Inc.)

But I do point out gambling, dancing and pornography are not included in either of those descriptions of the foundation of our English common law system.

You know should not only share these online, but distribute them as handbills. I wonder how that would work. I still old enough to remember when people used to do that. People did that most of my life in fact :smirk::smirk::smirk:.
