1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

I'm graduating high school this year and have wanted to travel for a long time, so i was going to go on a road trip, probably this June and/or July. I still need to do a lot of planning and preparing, but it's still a ways off.

My issue is that even though I won't be going alone (probably with 1-3 friends), none of us will be 18 yet because almost all of us have birthdays in August. I'd say to just wait until August, but by then we will be heading our seperate ways and moving into dorms for college. Now I would be willing to postpone it until the next summer and I figure maybe I'll even have some new good friends by then, but I've really been looking forward to this for a long time.

So I guess my question is, do you think I should try to go anyway even though I'll only be 17 (I'm aware that it will be a lot more difficut if I do), or do you think I should just wait a while and see what happens until I get a better chance?

    Any input is appreciated!

From many experiences i have learned that spontaniousness usually works out very well, but to be prepared as well. and procrastination never works out well. it just takes that first step and everything will fall into place. if its a road trip then age shouldnt be a big problem.
Hope you do this and wish you the best of luck. Last spring i decided to completely leave society and go experiance an entire diffrent world and I experienced and learned things i could never even dream of. now im just wandering the planet. you will have the time of your life
    Much Peace and Love
