This question always comes up when I trip...

ok, everytime I trip...I get the same thought, I don't agree with society...I don't want to live in this society...AND READ FARTHER BEFORE YOU REPLY.

But obviously, avoiding our society and our world full of money, would either take A) getting everyone to work together and agree. B) Beating society by getting enough money to quit it/retire or C) something I haven't thought of yet or for that matter, bothered to think of

Anyway, I want to concentrate on B (if you have any ideas about C, I'd like to hear them cause shit like that is interesting)

So, having enough money to beat society and live peacefully without ties to the economy and so forth...

Well...

HOW MUCH? How much money do you think you would need at say, the age of 30 to live carelessly and free until you died?

Now that leaves a lot of options up, you can choose to burn away quickly and only need enough money for 10 years...or live it up like a republican and medicare and need millions...

So what do you ballpark you could live off of for the rest of your life from 30 up?



In my opinion, I'd say if I had enough to buy some acreage, and build my own house, grow my own foods and such (trade with others too as opposed to selling crops) yaddi yaddi yadda...moral of the story is, I'd say I could get away with....

But if you assume I buy land in advance (approximately 250,000 for 12 acres of land in the undeveloped counties around here) and build a simple little shack...I could live off of 50,000 from there out


Now of course it may not be accurate and all that jazz because of taxes and such...but we'll get into that later (plus having cash in the bank in a good type of account will run itself anyway...but that's a tie to society haha, but not a negative one)

Very common within my group of freinds to have discussions about this topic, why must we go to school?, what is the point of everyone having to sacrifice lifes true meaning by working everyday for the rest of your life?, why is acid illegal....ahahha yerh, im from australia and in my country many many people live out on the bush living from the land and learning from it at the same time.

Nimbin is an area in northern new south wales, were marijuana and psychedelics are very common and the town of nimbin has several marijuana festivals throughout the year, the majority of people living in rural nimbim live purely off the land and also cultivate many types of marijuana purley for personal use.

this is not the case about makign drugs legal or illigal in order to find peace and meaning of this life/society.... Of course it is theri mistake as we think to make ACID illigal, but they had some reasons to do it.. or maybe just due to lack of knowledge...

But AS iWishiwasaHippie- you would probably need a few millions, not many a few... and buy already made food in stores ( c'mon at least u can have slight connection with society u ran away from and i would invest some money into somethign for my children to work on it and gain their money and retarie and run away too

That could be why psychedelics are illegal. At least the main reason. I've had this notion on acid before and have noticed that many have. The reason the gov. doesn't want us taking psychedelics isn't because it can make you go insane, but because it will make you aware of how much of a slave to society you are, and that you will want to do something about it. They do not want everyone becoming succesful and having a lot of money. They just want everyone to go through life like little worker bees without thinking for themselves. Well i say fuck that, i'm smarter then that. All in all i am not just another brick in the wall!

Dude at 10klf at keller I see this guy walking up the walkway wearing a shirt that said "Party Pirate" and had a skull with swords etc. The day before my friend had me laughing uncontrollably in tears when I was on L when he was talking about pirates. He was real serious and at one point he's like "Pirate-related deaths totalled something like 236 last year. I wanna see that number go way past 1000."

So I see this guy walking up with the party pirate shirt and i stop him and i'm like "Did you know that there were 236 pirate-related deaths last year?"

The guy's response was:

"Well now that I'm here that number's gonna sky-rocket." and walked away. I think he might have even let out the obligatory "arrrr" before he bounced too I can't remember. One of the greatest festie experiences of my life.

 

Oh and I am under the impression that a jedi pirate would whoop the shit out of every other class of pirate out there.
