this post is for people who seriously wants to live on the road

Hey Everyone

You know I noticed my last post had like 253 looks like wow more then any other post by far but few responses of any kind I would be so curious about people thoughts about the post. So I am writing a new one based on thoughts I have been having. I am still looking for friends out here to travel with or maybe even friends in towns I travel through.
I am a guy who has lived on the road for probably as long or longer then a lot of people who read this post. I do not live barely making it wondering where my next tank of gas is or when I will eat next. I started that way but had some awesome teachers out here.
I travel the country working when I want and doing just about anything I want I never worry about money for making a good living out here is easy and I live quite well out here.
I sell body jewelry and silver to shops of all kinds of shops I live mostly in motels but still love to pitch a tent. I started in a back pack and live in cars, vans and RV's before finally choosing the motel life. What I would love to do is find guys girls who are genuinely interested in learning the road life. Not living barely on the fringe and just existing but being able be able to do what they like see what they want make the money they want to do what they want. But there is a catch to this like everything I am looking for someone or people who are searching for life who is looking for the meaning of life and there place in it.
I am not looking for druggies and drunks who just want to live for the next high or daze.
Yes, I smoke and trip sometimes but not to exist for an added fun at times.
I am looking for someone who would like the idea of talking for hour about philosophy and be learning from life and their experiences. The ideal thing for me would be someone with their own vehicle for we would both have our own space but for the right person I would be willing to share my space for a time.
I know anyone with me who truly wanted this life would easily learn to make the money for it with me making a living out here is actually the easiest thing to do the hardest is to learn hot to truly be happy with who you are and know who you truly are good and bad and learning from it. I am not looking for a relationship I am only looking for close friends.
I enjoy my life and what I do and not looking to conform to have some kind of relationship with someone. What I am looking for is someone who will make their own life and let me have mine and yet we can share times together. I will supply a ready made business to anyone who is with me but they have to have the brains and motivation to make money with it. They would at first have to pay for what they got in jewelry but depending on their motivation they could own their business and make all their own money themselves on no time. If I did take someone without a car with the business they would have one in a month or 2 tops if they put effort into it. The trick for me in making money is I do not do any selling I let my product do it if you carry what the shops want then all you have to do is bring it to them and they will buy. Sounds easy huh well it is as I said making a living out here is the easiest thing to do. So if you are a guy girl alien anything living being who can carry on intelligent conversations and are searching for life lets talk. Be prepared I am not going to take the first person who say hey I want to go, actually I have taken 5 people from here so far 2 where memorable but still never made it. IF this truly interests you then be prepared to share who you are good and bad look into your self and be truthful. I am not for those who wear masks and live in their own little realities. I face life everyday I do not hide from it I embrace it. Being out here you have so many opportunities with me if you like to write make movies and take pictures of your adventure. I have 2 laptops so you would have access to do a lot on the computer if you wished. I carry 2 mountain bikes so you would always have one free to ride. You would also meet so many people with and without me and get so many invites from them to do new and fun things. With me you would have the chance to go out and explore but still have a safety net to fall back on.
You just have to be the type to go fourth and meet people I will not be here telling you how to be I am here to just be a friend and as long as you do not interfere with my own personal space you can do as you please. This offer of course is for anyone 18 or older I am not taking runaways or people running from themselves. I am not desperate for someone because I would rather be alone then be with a moron. I would love to have someone who would bring out my thinking side and be fun to spend time with.

right on man! you took the words right out of my mouth! traveling and experiencing a life like that is what i have been interested in for a while now....I was just at the beach (obx) for the past week and I've seriously thought about it. I'm too young to join you now(only 15) but maybe i'll see you down the road! how do you manage to get on the forums? laptop? or a local library? I just want to let you know that reading what you wrote up there has truly inspired me. Good Luck with everything!

but i need to graduate High school. i mean. i want to because if i drop out and take the ged i wont be consedered for a lot of colleges.

but i would love to join you. i am constantly looking for people to leave with me. to go find the real meaning out there. everyone here seems to be just fine with their existance of just doing the same fucking thing every day...

I too dont use the easy channels of fear, anxiety, worry or doubt in my everyday reality to block me from doing what i want.

I believe in living an honest life, living a spiritual life (no...a REAL spiritual life), and living to learn and experience.

I dont fit in with traditional american society, for the main reason that everyone seems to be already digging their own grave by the time they are my age. They are ready to settle down with a person, settle down witha job, etc etc. I HAVE NO SECURITY IN THIS WORLD. I BELIEVE IN GOD AS THE ONLY SECURITY (not God in the sense most people would call God)




I bet we'd get together REAL well if I ever decided to do something like that.

Perphaps after we talk for a bit, and I get a nice new car (few months) that wont break down on me, we can do something!

I removed myself from the states and am doing the lone-gypsy thing here in europe-if i could drive or even afford a vehicle i might have stayed in the states and done what you are doing... but here it's about the same-only working if you want to (or need the cash for food or such)... i work for my room and board right now, and will eventually earn up the cash to move on... if you ever make it out here, let me know! I'll show you around ;-)

I think that you living your life on the road is really rockin. Me and my bestfriend are weeks away from buying a VW bus, and seeing the country. I can't think of anything else i'd rather do!! But definatelty keep on truckin!!...maybe we'll see you on the open road

Hey...I am 18 and I live in IL. I would love to talk to you more about this. I am really interested and I feel the same way you do about alot of things that u said in your post. As of right now I dont have a car or much money, I just got into 2 car accidents so thats where all my money just went to. I am working at the Crystal Lake Beach to have some money right now. I would really love to travel with you and see whats really out there. Funny that u mention philosophy, I have been studying philosophy for 2 years. I have always wanted to go to school for philosphy but personally I would much rather travel and live life how it should be. Hey all of you youngins
I am sorry but there would be no way i would even consider taking you with me . Now i have met some smart and enlightened young kids and have enjoyed talking to them but to take someone under the age of 18 will get the person taking them 5-10 years in a prison. Now even though it is the moron who took you's fault you would also have to live knowing that you got someone put away. Keep in mind going on the road under 18 you are pretty much in hiding for if the law catches you they send you home (if your are lucky) and most people who offer you help are looking for something and you will learn some very harsh reality lessons. So wait and plan i out your trip.

I gave it a thought not too long ago(2 years). Sounds cool, and I would like to do something like that but I grow too attached to things, and people when I find something I like, thats why I don't travel much. If it was me I would live in LA, NYC, J-Ville, and ATL all at once flying back and forth weekly lol I have a thing for big cities...... Just would not be able to handle the seperation from the people or the atmosphere

 

Sounds like a good idea, dude. I totally feel you on the "rather be alone than with a moron"....A life on the road is something alot of folks fantasize about, but not too many actualy do.(or even have what it takes to do). I've recently been thinking about just setting out on the road myself....just me and my bicycle. A travelling business is an awesome idea. If your still "out there", I would like to learn more about it. I'm well over 18, and am still looking for "my place in the world". Presently, I am living (actually just staying) in SW Ohio, looking for ideas on getting the hell out of this soul swallowing "vortex", and starting a new life.

I'm 23 and have spent significant time on the road. I have recently gotten myself into some trouble (lost the 'ol driver's license) and i must remain stationary til things get straightened out. Hope to see you out on the road in a year or two!

I have been on the road since I graduated at sixteen, I spent sometime in university and a few monastries and temples along the way, though now I run a nomadic commune. called highway child ( see communal living)

we make our money very similar to yours, though we have just started with metals in the last few months though we are getting better as a group, mostly we sell hemp. not usually to stores since they buy bulk and the dont pay alot for what they buy..

I am pretty good salesman, when I say good, I mean I can sell a rats ass as a wedding ring.

Though I dont think it would be a very good idea to partner up , It may be in our mutual interests to learn from eachother. as I know as well as seemingly you do as well, that any seasoned traveler has a certain way of doing things and most of the time a very healthy ego and to match up a pair of folk who are alike in that sence couls lead to hostility....

though it would be a good thing to learn from eachothers path.

I have an 88 7.3 liter purple schoolbus ( its a motor home now) I built it myself, we have a shower, bathroom, 27 inch tv XBOX big kitchen inverters....may save you some coin on those motels....I did that for a while though I realised one day I really enjoy my OWN bed, so I built this bus....actually its my fourth bus but it works well.

we are in boston right now thougH i think we will be heading south west from here...

yep I'm rolling out from GA pretty much on foot here in the next couple of weeks. maybe I will run into some of you. I would much rather ride than walk.
