When someone is wasting my time I waste theirs back. If I don't feel like wasting theirs because I don't have any time of my own left to waste I hurt them physically with either my Taekwondo or boxing skills.

Try to outbore him or make him repeat himself a lot. Also... talk slowly... keep leading up to a point you never get to... employ long pauses in what you're saying- long enough where when he tries to say something- at that point, continue rambling.

i usually just put them on hold for a while and go back to my work while they sit and think about what it is they want to ask me.

if it's my boss, i just let everything else wait. my money is more important than keeping customers that they don't want anyway.

 

A lot of the people who let themselves fall into these traps are really just victimizing themselves. Make sure that underneath it all you're not just a little attention-starved... then tell him to fuck off.
